Intro: My wife and I are members of the Planet Fitness in Stratham, NH. We joined after having been memebers at a prior location several years prior. We toured the gym prior to joining to enjoy we liked the equipment, the layout and the gym overall. I hadn't worked out seriously for sometime, however, I used to be in very good shape. if I could give PLANET FITNES a zero, I would. Place is always packed. They don't really enforce cleaning the machines by the patrons. There few ab machines and most of the machines are worn out from years of abuse. I canceled because my new place had a new gym and was less packed. It took 3 months to cancel. Payed off balance with new credit card and cancelled. The next month they charged my new credit card for membership. Had to go back to again cancel my membership and notify my credit... (read more)

Planet Fitness is awesome! I've never had a problem with cleanliness, staff, billing, etc. The space can be limited sometimes and its a smaller type facility but honestly the atmosphere really works. And, you CANNOT beat the value!!! 20 bucks a month gets you unlimited access, you can bring a friend free every single visit, 50% off drinks, AND tanning. Seriously, they rock. (read more)

I was a member at the North Dartmouth, MA. PF. I will never go there again. The place is cheap, and that's problem - you get what you pay for. The help is poorly trained. It was a miserable experience. The equipment is poorly maintained as well! I wonder about their registered sex offender policy because the place had a lot of strange, creepy people. The management there cater to certain types of people and although they say No Judgment - the management is very judgmental! Pay a little more... (read more)

By far the worst gym in which I have been a member. I wish that I never started a contract or I would have left already. Manager hung up on phone conversation over hidden billing charge. You cannot bring a gallon of water with you and you cant drop the weight too hard ( at the Altamonte springs, FL location) or something called a lunk alarm will go off. It is a loud horn that causes more noise than it is meant to quell. The staff seem annoyed to have you there, if not outright rude at times.... (read more)

First off they overcrowd the place to the point where the fire marshall is about to show up any night now. they took EVERY machine that was worth while out because "we don't want people being intimidated with the amount of free weights people use." which is an absolute joke. they have 3 showers in the guys locker room they turned my steam room into a toilet paper closet. dumbells cut off at 80lbs an you usually have a good 15 to 20 min 3 person deep line before you can even get your hands on... This Planet Fitness location took over a decent World Gym near Clearwater, FL. First they began by removing all the heavy dumbbells, well, I could live with that being female and all. Then some leg machines disappeared, next to go was the pull-up bars. When I complained about the pull-up bars, I was told "80% of the population can't do even one pull-up" and that pull-up bars were intimidating to their "target population".
