I've seen so many negative reviews about their online service--all I can say isgo into store!!!!!! My local one in East Grinstead is fantastic! The staff really know their onions,and it's so nice to see their old Manager returning--he's a really nice bloke and nothing is too much hassle--he'll even get you stock if the store doesn't stock it if he can. Do not go near their delivery service. Two orders, one took 2 months to get to me and still had an item missing which took another 2 months to arrive and the second order did not turn up at all. I like the products although I wish they had non meat gelatine capsules in more of them as I avoid meat due to the hormone content as I am treating myself for hormone imbalance. I have been waiting now for almost THREE MONTHS to receive items missing from an order and cannot seem to get any satisfaction whatsoever from emailing or phoning. “Beware of product prices”

Bought 2 bottles(240)capsules of Cod Liver Oil 480 capsules in total today at £12.99 per bottle =£25.98. Have been a H&B card holder for a while. When I checked prices later they could have told me to buy the discounted 120 capsule bottles at £5.10 = £20.40 saving me £5.58 or giving them an aditional profit of 27% ! I am now waiting almost 1 month and have not received my goods. I have sent 3 emails without response and rang on 4 different occasions without anyone picking up the phone. These guys are an absolute disgrace and I will not use them again. My guess is they are going bust, hence the long delays. I am just hoping they don't go into receivership until I receive my goods. My deliveries from Holland and Barrett have recently been arriving very late - one even arrived damaged. I have tried many times to contact this company by email, but I have never received a single response - just a generic email telling me that I will receive a reply shortly. I buy a fair bit from here just because i can't find the products anywhere else. I really wish i could! There website takes so long to load, so much so i give up and have to go and talk to one of many useless staff members that just tell you to buy from the website... that doesn't work! I can't get over the lack of knowledge from the staff. Im a veggie and more the once i've been sold gelatin products. I would say if you can find anywhere else to buy then do so. (read more)

My order arrived quite promptly but I was overcharged. I emailed the customer service twice, once on the email address stated on the online receipt and another through their website. Both were unsuccessful. It is not fair to have to pay for calls just to request for a refund when it is not the customer's mistake. I will from now on not to oerder online from the company. Went in to discuss vitamins regarding a private matter and the customer service person was unhelpful, loud, announcing to the shop everything I had just told her. I work at a Holland and Barrett's store and I agree that the rewards card scheme is pushy. We are told by management that we must ask every customer including regulars who we know full well don't have and don't want a card. Mostly done out of fear that a mystery shopper is in the store or that an area manager might turn up unannounced. It's a shame as it's causing the company to lose customers, and it's just embarrassing for us staff who have to keep asking (although if I know the customer doesn't want one I wont ask unless the manager is around).

Querried but they have to rely on HERMES their courier.

Hi, We can also confirm the same, we placed the order online for the same reasons of being unable to get to our local store 10 days ago, as my Fiance has recently had a stroke we thought this would be a much Simpler and swift process. After being advised that it would be despatched within 48 hours, a week later we sent an email to the customer services team to be advised that the items were only just being sent out of the warehouse and to expect another 7 days wait for our order to be delivered by Hermes couriers. This is an absolute joke! We can agree that the staff customer service is very good in store but words to the wise, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!

I placed an order on 20/Feb/2013 under H&B Ireland online. But I didn't received my order. Then I called the phone 4 times. The 1st time is on 25/FEB/2013. The lady told me that they received my order and asked me some security questions.(include : Receipt ,Name,Address,Phone No., D.O.B , my Laser Card number.)

and ensure that I will receive my order before 28 / FEB/2013. But I didn't receive it. Then I called the Customer Service again. The same lady answered me.

And I tole her that I didn't receive the Order again. The lady said she's busy. She will call me back 1/2 hour. I understand it. But she didn't call me back.

Then I called it 1 week later. And she gave me the same answer. Somebody will call me back 1/2 hour. Okay. I understood again. But I got the same result.

So I called them 14/ Mar/2013 again. The Lady answered me they didn't receive my order .Then let placed an new Order online. Then just handed up.

Hydrolysed Collagen (1000mg) offer in FEB and March are different. This is not because of I have to pay more 26 Euro.

Because this issue should not be existed in a High quality Company. How can they serve customers like this??

I wrote 3 letters on the H&B Feedback. But no answer.

Bought Glucosamine from store. After taking a few noticed that each tablet was slightly different. When I spread then out on sheet of white paper you can see varieations in colour from capsule to capsule. I took photo and sent to Holland and Barrett customer service. Whatever you do, please do not get sucked into their free shipping offer or the fact that it says that the item you want to order is "in stock". I ordered about 8 things online to avail of the free shipping over €40. you can take the hair dye back to a store and get a refund if it helps but you need some sort of docket to show you bought it from the website I know its something like that as I left the company 6 months ago i dont think that has changed. sorry to hear about your experience with holland and barrett you will get better service instore in general although i'm sure there are some bad stores too.

I went to my local Holland and Barrett, and the assistant even got out a guide, and told me that I only needed to take two capsules a day in order to reap the rewards of this amazing product. I ordered several items from here which took 2 and a half weeks to arrive and I'm still awaiting the rest of my order. I have NEVER had to wait this long for an order unless explicitly told otherwise. I have the same problem. There are 3 weeks since I ordered, and I've not received my order yet. I sent them 6 e-mails without answers. I tried to call but they kept me in queue, so I gave up. I'll try to call to the same number that you called, hopefully somenone will help me to sent me my order. Have you received your order?
For me this problem looks like a scam. Shame on H&B!!

I had the same problem I ordered on the 8th of November and did not receive it, so I rang the 08 number to be told they would send a replacement which I again did not receive. Then I rang asking for my money back which they said they would do.. two weeks later I still have not had my money back and have spent a fortune on the phone to them. Will never shop with them again!

I ordered some goods on a Friday, payed £33, got free delivery, products are really cheap in comparison to other companies, in addition, these products were delivered on the Monday morning, how they processed this and had my items shipped so quickly is beyond me, just brilliant.

As for the products recieved, they are great, the vitamin E oil is fantastic, minor wrinkles appear reduced and the supplements have made me feel great, definately a thumbs up!! (read more)

The lack of communication and the fact their credit card facilities where down meant I received three emails telling me my card had been refused when in fact my card was fine.
