    Good Points: it looks nice


    Bad Points: broke bad


    General comments: Turned Baumatic BT2710SS oven on last night for perhaps 7-8 minutes to heat up to to 200c when I heard the explosion and the inner glass door was shattered into a million pieces. I barely use the oven at all and hadn't used it for a week when it happened. After reading the blogs on this problem I will be looking for a good old fashioned style cooker with as minimal glass as possible. In addtion to a cooktop which keeps blowing the elements. I've had enough!!

    The Baumatic BT2710SS has been a nightmare since I got it in Feb 2009. Fan rattled, door handle, knobs, oven housing and door gets extremely hot, have to use an oven glove to open door and touch control knobs. Contacted company oven was ordered from who contacted Baumatic, wanted to leave it 1month before sending an engineer, I said no, engineer came out and fixed rattle but little else, second engineer came out and whilst he was there the over door glass exploded inside the oven, the whole ov ...

    Their aftersales team and service is the worst I have experienced from a manufacturer. After two months of having this product it brokedown and from that point onwards I have had various contact with their aftersales team. They are bad when it comes to providing customer service. They have been so many problems and despite the oven being under warranty the solution by them was to purchase a new £700 oven from them!!!!!     had 2 Baumatic BT2710SS with faulty ovens, as soon as you light main oven and then light small oven it the blows main oven. also had 2 delivered damaged. found company not very helpfull. hard work to get it sorted broke down on 6th october and today 10th november and still not orted.

    Looks OK (like higher end models) but i guess that they can sell cheaply becuase the build quality is so poor. That said - even with poor build quality - i wouldnt expect the oven door to explode while cooking - luckily no one was in the kitchen, otherwise thy would have been covered in hot glass.

    If you dont have the money - and are looking to buy an oven on a budget - this manufacturer isnt a good option.

    Yesterday had it on for 20 minutes to bake a quiche on 200 temp and was on the phone when I heard an explosion come from kitchen. The glass had shattered in the oven door so while this may have been a manufacturer blip, not a pleasant experience.
    If anyone has had a similar experience please share.

    The Baumatic BT2710SS is a range cooker,great, but I would keep away.

    The hob is good with five burners and is certainly looks the part, but that where the love affair ends.

    The build quality of our model was poor, it is a cheap range that we got as part of a kitchen offer after our problems it will be going back and we will be upgrading it to a better model.
