Dreadful company- started a course & fell ill during it. 1 year later & no-body ever contacted me.
I will give them 1 thing- they train their sales staff bloody well!
    Would never use them again.

Like so many other's miss sold, over priced and the materials they send out are sub standard for what you pay.

    To quote another poster
"Home Learning college supplied the course charging over £1500 where are all other distance learning course cost about £700. I've not had the service and support I was promised"

And do not even try to get off the course, they just threaten you with court action.

I have just completed by AAT Certificate in Accounting with HLC and would definetely never use them again. There are many other providers that are half the cost. I had 3 different tutors and their textbooks were full of mistakes. They set very early deadlines for exam entry and are completely disorganised when it comes to simulations. Save yourself some time and money and use Eagle Education - they are fantastic.

I am a house wife, living in joint family, having a baby, it just have been two years I am in England. When I decided to study and got information about Home Learning College, I was and I am so comfortable with Home Learning College. I can give full time to my family, my baby and my studies as well and now I recommend others to study with Home Learning College. Tutors are always available at their time and guide properly as we are in present (face to face) and discussing any problem.
    Wish u all ...

I am currently a student of Home Learning College and I would recommend it to others. As a busy parent for me there is no other way of studying than through the distance route, which means I can do it in my own time and in the comfort of my own home. But it's not just for parents, it's the flexibility of it that makes it suitable for people with busy life.
Also if you are not working it is a good way of trying to get some extra qualification on your CV and also a good brain excercise. Sometime ...

Home Learning College is an excellent opportunity to gain some inside knowledge on career orientated subjects, with the chance to gain recognised industry qualifications. Professional e-Tutors and staff are always on hand with timely and concise answers to any problems encountered with (the excellent) course materials, or difficulties encountered in the learning process. Cyber-college is learning at your own pace and good fun too ! One minor criticism is that it was not entirely clear when first ...

So far so good! Only a few weeks into the course but I've had no problems at all. My course materials were delivered quickly as promised and I also received a follow up call to ensure everyhting was ok. The forums are great and I would highly recommend people use them for any queries at all. It's also handy to look through the questions from time to time the check out the problems people are having.........you soon find out that you're not the only one asking questions. My assignments have ...

I have found the Home Learning College to be a very beneficial experience so far. I had no problems enrolling and the staff were more than helpful. Good course materials were made available in hard copy, and they are also available online which is a great assistance and means you don't have to carry them everywhere. I appreciated the guidance they provided on how to approach studying as it has been a while since I studied for university. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that your were prov ...

I've always been to college in a classroom environment and so home learning was completely different for me but in a good way. The e-assignment page is fantastic i sent off my first assignment and received my marks the same day that would never happen before with anywhere i've been. I find the virtual community very helpful and the extra help is easily available with a tutor only an email away with quick response times. The ease with which you can study takes the pressure off as it is all done i ...

Course materials reasonably easy to use, although some of the updates to Network + are too American for my liking.
I think that when I was sold the course , some of the career expectations were inflated, and that as well as a qualification, experience is required by the majority of employers.

I was mis-sold my course by a course advisor (salesman) who really filled me full of speel and pressurised me into signing on the dotted line with a "limited availability" speech. I was guarenteed quite a few things by him which I wanted to see on the course but when it came starting the course I found that they had all been lies. Be very careful about signing up

Be really carefull when you sign up for any course. Make sure you know exactly how long you have to cancel your course, if you feel the need to. Get the cancellation period in writing on the day you enroll and do not take the verbal notice period as a given. Make double sure. I had a terrible experience.

Thank god I read through this site before signing up to the home learning college, after several weeks of high pressure sales calls from HLC I did a bit of searching and found the exact same coarse at a fraction of the price from an college in the USA. CBT Direct.
Telephone support included which works best for me because I am training while still doing my old job and I can take the exam here anytime I like getting the exact same qualfication as HLC offer... do not be ripped off, HCL is just a ...

Home Learning College are an absolute disgrace, the use if the word college is far from accurate, the term con would be more suitable. I was first informed that a lady would come to my house and advise me on the course in fact it was to enrol me, and as i result i felt pressured into enrolling on the course.... what a huge mistake that was. i was informed i would receive support and quality service from my tutor and 3 months in i still haven't heard from him. I have now attempted to cancel my en ...

The Dreamweaver CS3 course materials were, for the most part, well written. However, some material is now out of date and in need of a re-write.
I did feel a little lost when first opening the bag of goodies. A "how to get started" guide would be beneficial.
I had no problems getting in touch with the course tutors, who were very helpful and encouraging.
I passed my final exam with flying colours and it has helped me move forward with my career.

"I have two young children, work 18.5 hrs a week and go the gym twice a week. At the beginning of the course I set myself two days during the week for studying plus any free time I had at the weekend. At first I stuck to this timetable but as the course progressed and I struggled a little with the assignments, swayed slightly from my set days. I re-motivated myself, my tutor's comments on my assignments helped, and I progressed with my studying.

    I didn't rush, didn't put myself under anymore p ...
