Went to Phoenix City last night . Wasn't impressed it wasn't brilliant the first time we went but its got worse. The service is ok but the staff are miserable as sin. Food was very average, tasted like the beef & chicken was processed and to top it off all the food was served on plastic plates.
Had better Chinese from my local take away wouldn't bother save some money and get a take out from Blue Ginger ..

Myself and my party have travelled extensively around the world, and yet have managed to find the worst restaurant in the world just a 10 minute walk from my house! Once we had taken a seat and chosen our dishes at Phoenix City Chinese restaurant in Stalybridge, our drinks were served; 3 pints of tasteless Eurofizz and a gin and tonic, with flat tonic. I went here last night after not going for over 12 months as last time I went I was not very impressed.
I still wasn't over impressed, mainly because I wasn't sure at first if I could eat my starter (chicken skewer) because the texture of the chicken was very strange. My husband tried it and said that he thought it was fine and that it had probably been boiled. I tried it after that and it was ok, just very odd?
The main courses were nice, though I have had a better elsewhere.
