Good Points: Large portions Yummy Food Friendly staff Inexpensive
Bad Points: Long long queues
General comments: La Famiglia is an Italian restaurant in Boston which has 3 locations (North End, Brookline, Newbury Street). Rather than book, you just turn up and stand in a long but fast-moving line and wait to be seated. Their menu consists of typical Italian fare of pasta dishes, meat and fish and every main course of meat is served with a healthy portion of pasta in marinara sauce. The portions are so large that an adult can fill up and the plate still looks untouched. The staff expect that you will take home a doggy bag. On the whole the quality of the food is always top-notch and the service is friendly.
When in Boston, because of the high number of Italian-Americans resident in the area, it's always a great idea to seek out Italian restaurants as the quality in general is great and if you're on a tight budget, you can't get much better than La Famiglia.
