Good Points: Location. Turkish. Very friendly. Very good accomodation at a great price. Wonderful hosts. Very special.

General comments: This is a very special place. A charming Turkish town at the head of the Gokova inlet and on the delta formed by artesian water. Wonderful wildlife, breakfast on a boat on the river is a must as are visits to the excellent 'river resturants' a lovely 10 mins walk from Tomasan Villas. The town has all the facilities you would need but still retains a village-like feel. There are many places nearby to visit, from tyhe hell-hole of Marmaris to thearchaeological sites (and shopping) at Fethiye and the river /turtle trips at Dalyan. Go!
Tomsan villas are opposite an area of pine woodland and set in an orange growv above the river.
There are 2 pools of fresh water and a variety of great value , well presented and accomodation- excellent for families. The hosts are superb and it is great to catch up with the other staff. These are also very special people. The food by the pool is always good and means yo can just relax at lunchtime.

We stayed at Tomsan and Okaliptus Villas last Summer and had the most wonderful holiday. The self-catering accommodation is of a high standard. The village is lovely and has a great range of places to eat. Akyaka is no longer a tiny fishing village but the tourism has not taken over or changed the very relaxing atmosphere. The village is quite small and staying at Tomsan means that you are located in a very quiet area between the restaurants in the centre of the village and those along the river ...
