Good Points: good delivery, good product

    Bad Points: non

General comments: I placed two orders with this firm. One was placed September 2005 and an additional one about a year later. They were excellent in every fashion. I only came about this review as I was seeking them out to place more orders. I am disappointed they have gone pop, and have every sympathy with those who have lost money. Can only speak as I find (found) I had no problems whatsoever.
    Regards to all.

I am a pension of 73 years, having saved for some time and ordered furniture from Lloyds to the value of £1537, paying in full by debit card. I am now told I will receive nothing.

If they genuinely wish to safeguard their customers, the solution is simple. Refund our money, or pay the supplier and we will go and collect the goods when ready.

I ordered two bedside tables and a chest of drawers from Lloyds furniture at a total cost of 652 on the 22nd September. I was told that delivery would be 'about 4 weeks'. I called on numerous occasions and was confused by the messages I was receiving.

I was initially told by email that the furniture would be arriving at their warehouse the last week of October. I was then told it would be arriving on Monday 5th November. I called on Tuesday 6th November (having not heard from them obvious ...

Lloyds Furniture... Thanks for ruining our Christmas firstly. I paid £1000 to Lloyds furniture in good faith (like so many others), and I am now faced with the choice of buying presents for my children or furniture to eat Christmas dinner on. It has been mentioned about them trying to raise funds to pay suppliers to keep trading; why don't they use the money they have taken from the 600 creditors, all of whom have received no furniture; 600 is the figure quoted by the administrator to me ...

The above review is very useful and all, but the issue that most people have with all of this is the way in which Lloyds have dealt with the whole matter. I have not received a single communication other than a meaningless text message. I have not had a single phone call answered, and not one attempt by the company to let me know what is going on. Their financial situation and well-being isn't really my concern I'm afraid. What is however, is the fact that I now have no furniture for Christmas w ...

I have read all your reviews and think it is time to say something on behalf of Lloyds Furniture. I am a very good friend of the owners, and I do sympathise and understand what you are all going through at the moment. They, at no point have set out to take anybody's money under false pretences, and all the goods that you have ordered were ordered with the suppliers. Their problems were initially caused when a rival company copied their website and then started to spread rumours that their compan ...

O ordered a Lazy Boy from Lloyds Furniture in October, and I was told they were coming in stock today. I hadn't heard anything, so I went on the website and found the administrators notice, so then a search on Google has brought me here.
I went in the Sunderland store, then placed the order over the phone on Monday... I have not received a receipt or any paperwork, but after checking my bank statement, they paid £719 into my bank, then withdrew £869, so it looks like they have not g ...

Yesterday, 2nd December, I saw on "Google" that Lloyds Furniture have gone into administration and that debtors will be contacted. Wasn't I lucky? I saved £800 against a local store.

    Hi all,

I've also been stung by this whole sham.
I received a letter from the administrators yesterday morning asking me to outline what I have paid and when.

I ordered a la-z-boy sofa back at the end of September 07.
I paid the money in full (£835) and now have no prospect of owning a sofa for some time, I will be sitting on the floor for the foreseeable future.

I read somewhere that someone had contacted la-z-boy direct, does anyone have the contact details? Its worth a try. ...

I paid £834 with my debit card for a table and chairs from Lloyds Furniture on the 30th of October 2007. I have received an email receipt but nothing else since. I have tried sending emails, and I have tried calling, but I have had no replies. I contacted Companies house, but no notification has been sent to them that they have ceased trading.

I ordered furniture from Lloyds via their website on 20/09/07 and paid via my Visa card, which was taken from my account on 24/09/07. I have been constantly checking the order status on their tracking site, which has never changed, then when I couldn't get onto their website, alarm bells started to ring! They told me approximately 8 - 10 weeks for delivery, which would have been up the other day. I did a Google search to see if they had changed their website, as I had saved it in my favourites, ...

Anyone else fancy getting watchdog involved?

below is an edited version of my message to Lloyds Furniture.

    www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/

An elderly friend of mine placed an order by telephone with a MasterCard for a reclining chair for her disabled husband (Married 60 years, met during WW2).

She received no confirmation by post.

After calling them and asking for a receipt, one was duly posted.

    She waited for the chair...

She called, and was told that there was no chair ordered.. ...

I ordered some furniture and the same thing happened and haven't been able to get in touch with them or get a response. I have since re-ordered my furniture from another company and when I told the salesman what had happened he even gave me a discount. They have a lot of the stuff lloyds were selling and more. Might be worth a look.
    Cheers

I bought a dining table, six chairs, coffee table, sideboard and console table from Lloyd's Furniture, for what seemed like a good price at £2100 in February 2007. I waited 10 weeks for it to be delivered, after being promised 5 weeks. The build quality was disgraceful, and I arranged for replacements in May. I waited and waited and waited and so on!!! After many phone calls and four months later in September, I decided to cancel, and I waited for over 2 months for the furniture to be take ...

Its seems like Lloyds Furniture are back in business the website seems to be up and running and had a face lift by the looks of it after annoying so many customers and putting us through such an ordeal they could probably afford too. I still cant get a straight answer from them, the Stockton shop is open no real hope of getting the deposit back.

We ordered a sideboard and nest of tables from Lloyds Furniture on 4th September and was told 8 weeks delivery.
We have also been unable to contact them since and we paid in full 418. My partner was in Sunderland last week and the shutters were down. We have had very odd replies to emails but nothing confirming they have gone bust. They say we will get the furniture eventually or we can contact our credit card company and ask them to get a refund? I think it looks like they have gone bus ...

Hello everyone, I see that we are all in the same situation.

I ordered furniture and paid a deposit of £230. I had a phone call on 16/11 and was told that my furniture would be here this week.

I called on Monday for a update and realised what had happened,
As I cant get onto the site anymore could someone please give me the email address.

I'm also reading on here that some people are saying they are trying to fulfill past orders, but even if they called me I would not feel safe ...
