“Way too slow and bland”

Took 1h40 to get our main courses. A couple on another table left after the starter because it was taking so long. The mains were bland and uninteresting. We did get a 40% discount due to the poor service and food quality. (read more)

“Good service, pleasant atmosphere, treated like royalty”

4 of us were in a real hurry to attend theatre around the corner and had only 45mins to eat. We made the staff aware of this, and they accommodated us perfectly. We had poppadums to begin with - very nice, and our main meals were served within 15mins of ordering. Brilliant. The food was lovely. Very nice staff, made us feel very welcome, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Would recommend to others. Given 4 stars as I only reserve 5 stars for restaurants that blow me away into deep space! I VISITED ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT I FOUND THE WAITER VERY AGGRESIVE HE WAS OBVIOUSLY UNDER PRESSURE AS WAS QUITE BUSY AND THE ONLY ONE. ASKED FOR HIM TO MAKE MY DISH HOT WHEN IT CAME WAS VERY MILD HE THEN TOLD ME IT WAS A MILD DISH SO WAS MY FAULT ALSO THE OTHER PERSON IN THE PARTY WAS SERVED A DISH THEY DIDNT ORDER AND WAS TOLD THEY DID ORDER IT. NO

I found this review not helpful because... it strikes me that if you order a mild dish it will be mild, being served a dish not ordered by a waiter who is over-stretched doesn't tell me anything about the food... this was ment to be a restaurant review not a wild rant.
