Very impressed indeed. Also, have had several people recommend BSM that have passed first time (including wife and sister in law). I wasn't going to write a review but, having read the majority of comments on this page, felt obliged to do so. Perhaps it's the sceptic in me, but I can't help but wonder whether many of these were written by rival driving schools? Even if not, it would help if they were legible! It is my understanding that BSM are the national (and the oldest) driving... (read more)

I had what I thought was a good instructor for a few refresher lessons until I had to postpone a lesson for essential reasons that could have compromised my safety: in accordance with my verbal agreement with that specific instructor:I'd factored in postponing lessons at short notice - mainly owing to work related issues. No problem for this either then. A verbal agreement is a verbal agreement and it would just be re-booked with no cancellation charge. The BSM written contract that says... (read more)

Wow I can't believe all the bad reviews as I learned to drive with bsm and really really enjoyed every lesson, both me and my husband learned to drive with bsm and both of us thought they was fantastic!! I was 28 when I took my first ever lesson and I really thought I would never be able to drive until that first lesson with bsm my instructor in Leeds was brill I did that first lesson in the sept and I passed first time with only 3 minors in the nov, I would def recommend bsm. BSM I consider is the worst driving school ever. The instructors are very manupulative and try and squeeze as many lessons as possible.I had an instructor for automatic car , he never arrived on time and was very intimidating.I left BSM and joined other driving school and in 5 lessons could successfully pass the test. Please be very vigilant whilst choosing a driving school. (read more)

Inadequate standards, extremely expensive and push to test when not ready. Having now switched to a local driving school I cannot believe the difference in teaching quality and standards. I am having to unlearn all the crappy habits bsm have taught me and start over. Complete waste of time and money. My current instructor keeps asking me if I'm sure bsm haven't taught me this or that as he cannot believe how lacking in basic habits I am. Would never ever go to bsm again! (read more)

Bsm is the worst driving school! I have had 2 instructors from them and both was completely useless! One was called 'bayram' and I never recommend a girl taking lessons from him because of his pervy behaviour! He used to text me kisses and flowers when I'm only 17! When I called up bsm to complain I was too embarrassed to explain the situation So my mum had to instead, AND THEY got fussy about giving me a new instructor'! I started having my lessons at the beginning of March this year and completed 12 hours so far with another 9 booked. I'm not yet 18 but wanted to pass my test before I go to university and so my mother has a friend that has passed with BSM first time after 40 hours of driving, though she didn't have a car to practice on. Having read all the bad reviews on here I thought I'd post a genuine positive review. I passed my test yesterday, this was my 3rd attempt but my 1st with my BSM instructor. I had taken 2 tests previously with another company but then had to stop due to Uni and decided to try again with the big name company. They seem to be focussed on verbal explanations rather than 'practical' driving, which is the whole point of joining a driving school in the first place. Whatever you do, do NOT go with BSM. My experience has been awful.
To begin with, when I started my lessons with BSM it was very much about the money.
