I thought it was supposed to be a free service - unsure about the numbers of actual missing pets and found rates... the new website is missing long term missing pets...... (read more)

In my experience, Doglost is an invaluable resource for anyone who has lost their dog, especially in the current near-epidemic of stolen dogs. The site offers both practical help and moral support. It also campaigns for the micro chipping of all dogs, and for mandatory scanning of dogs at vet's surgeries, rescue centers etc. A thoroughly worthy enterprise. A few of the regular posters are a little sentimental. (read more)

Any one who has ever lost a dog knows how distressing it is, not knowing when your dog will come home.

Doglost provides a way of doing something constructive while you search for your dog .

The website covers the whole country, and as soon as your dogs details are posted, volunteers from the area will searching for it, posters can be printed and are emailed to members in your area, and useful advice about people and organisations to contact are provided.
