Have had dealings with this site when my dog was stolen. They told me where my dog was when I pressured the woman who took him. I am very suspicious of the honesty of this site. Have done some reserch on them over few years and my findings are not very favorable say the least.

Doglost is an important site for any dog owners. It is a TOTALLY free service - supported by volunteers -who will contact and advise owners.
    The personal contact is invaluable

Good place to look for your missing pet and meet other owners going through the same circumstance..
I thought it was supposed to be a free service - unsure about the numbers of actual missing pets and found rates... the new website is missing long term missing pets......

In my experience, Doglost is an invaluable resource for anyone who has lost their dog, especially in the current near-epidemic of stolen dogs. The site offers both practical help and moral support. It also campaigns for the micro chipping of all dogs, and for mandatory scanning of dogs at vet's surgeries, rescue centers etc. A thoroughly worthy enterprise. A few of the regular posters are a little sentimental.
