    Good Points: modern attractive looking unit


    Bad Points: where do i begin


    General comments: bought my ebac 6200 dehumidifier in november 2007 thinking i was buying the best unit that money could buy at just under £300 pounds boy was i mistaken it has turned out to be the worst buy of my life and a huge regret,
    within a few weeks the problems set in it started making an extremely loud noise and the fan was running constantly also the machine made a strange squelching noise when it was operating. since and up to the present day i have just yesterday received my FOURTH replacement dehumidier which is as faulty as all the others and it is extremely noisy which is not great when the unit is sitting on the landing outside your bedroom door making such a racket it keeps you awake have the night. so in total now between returning the units for repair and having them replaced i am onto my eighth return to ebac for yet another FIFTH replacement. so i guess the moral of this story is DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT DEEPLY i know i most certainly do it is the worst most expensive mistake of my life

    I bought this Ebac 6200 out of a misguided desire to "Buy British", and have regretted it since. Poor fit and finish from day one, with the top hatch rattling a lot, the fan squealing and the compressor being noisy whenever it is running - on top of that it would squelch sometimes. After 3 months it stopped working and has since gone back twice for repair - fingers crossed it's finally sorted.For a device aimed at home use the noise levels are unacceptable, and much higher than others I've see ...
