I have a Male Long haired fawn and white Chihuahua"Rocky" I have never had a pet that was so devoted and loving, everyday when I come home from work he is waiting with a smile and wagging tail! He sleeps with me in my bed and you get use to having the little guy there so you learn to always no where he is before laying down or rolling over it feels like having a baby in the bed! He is not very fond of strangers he will deffientely let you know when someone is at your house. I like to put him in the bedroom after someone get's in the house so he can calm down and then let him out, he doesn't continue to bark once he knows his family is safe! I never want to lose my Rocky he is like my shadow :)

I have 2 long haired chihuahuas, one blond, one dark. Millie was bought as a puppy, no problems training her, within a few weeks all accidents had stopped. Very very laid back, went even more laid back once we had her spayed. Then along came number 2, one of Millie's sisters....Duffy (again bought from a puppy), again no problems training her but she is the total opposite in personality....she is the most playful dog (now 16 months old) I've ever met..she carries a ball round in her mouth perma ...

Long hair chihuahuas are easy to take care of. Especially if you can't take them out much, they get their exercise running around the house, they eat very little. Very affectionate, almost like a baby. Smart with great personalities.

My Daisy is a quite a character and a very happy pup. Entertains herself.

Long Hair Chihuahuas are the sweetest, most affectionate little puppies ever. They are very intelligent and learn very quickly. I had two long hairs when I was younger and now I have a long and a short hair. I love them so much. They are so good. Mine were very quick to potty train and were going outside consistently by age 3 months. They are so loving and well behaved. We also have a large dog that they play very well with.

I do not normally do blogs, but being a mama to my gorgeous 3 year old lil long hair chi, I couldn't resist. One thing I've noticed and have had other owners of the long hair chi's vs short hair chi's state the same, they are sturdier/stockier in the legs than the short haired ones. All of the short hair chi's have very small, delicate legs and are prone to have leg problems/injuries. Also, the long hair aren't as nervous and seem to have an easier going nature. We can take her anywhere and not ...

I bought a male Chi 2 years ago and am totally in love. I picked up a female long hair Chi a few weeks ago and am enjoying them immensely and can't wait until she is old enough to breed. They are the perfect lap dogs so now I have two dogs on my lap instead of one. They get along with their own breed well and will tolerate other small dog breeds.

Would definitely recommend this breed if the above negatives are not too important to you. She is my favorite out of my four dogs.

This is my first dog and I think he was a good choice. I don't like lots of walking and dog hairs everywhere. He barely sheads any fur and he is so affectionate. He loves strutting his stuff when he is out on walks but he can be quite protective when in the home and barks at strangers and may even try to bite them if they try to stroke him. We put him on the lead and this tends to shut him up. He was housetrained from about 5 months. Doesn't like to be alone so if you work full time and cant get ...

My Long Hair Chihuahua is the most adorable well behaved easy to care for and train animal I've ever had. I've never had so many people want to know where I got a pet.

I have had many breeds of pure bred dogs but out if all of them my Chihuahua has shown me the most love. She wants to be with me 24 hours a day. She has become my best friend and companion. She loves me unconditonally. This breed really becomes attached to it's owners and is very loyal.

Long Hair Chihuahua - Very cheap to keep. Doesn't eat much, need much grooming, doesn't shed hair, easy to train, obedient, affectionate and entertaining. The perfect handbag-sized companion. Huckles loves to go out and socialise. He hides in my special chihuahua shopping bag if I have to go into shops or restaurants - although his head did pop out the other day at the check-out.
