Good Points: Funny and Captin Slow wrote it, what more do you want.
General comments: A good read, i took this book on holiday and i read it twice, infact i'm doing something i don't normally do, Mr May 10/10, sub zero. Bring on the next book.

This is a must-read for anyone interested in engineering. It uses humour to bring the facts to life and it doesn't feel as though you're learning even though you are. The links are tenuous and some of the ideas are idiosyncratic but it wouldn't be James May's if it wasn't.- Read lynneb's review (57 words)

I love this book and I love James May. Universally thought of as 'the other one on Top Gear,' May comes across as a genuinely nice guy, as a guy you would buy a drink in the pub in this book.
Basically, in this book James May writes his general thoughts and tells us about his cars, himself and why he loves being British in a collection of his newspaper columns.
Before reading this book I only liked James May because he disagrees with the other two a lot. But after reading this book you see him ...- Read rds1's review (204 words)
