I had to find a cheap low mileage car. I have owned various Kias in the pass and knew that they were very reliable in over 200000 miles in various kias I had sustained only one break down. The shuma carries on this great record I have done over 10000 miles in the shuma and it is a car that performs well in every department. My Kia Shuma 2 1.6 was bought in 2001.
It was hard to start at the first attempt (when it was parked for some time a few hours).
After one year complaining about this they changed the ECU and it was solved.
Three years later with 36000km the clutch started to show a malfunction.When I pressed the accelerator, the engine gained rpms but the car didn't increase speed, like if it was in idle.This situation become more frequent and then I had to press the accelerator always very gently after

Have had the Kia Shuma since new and have had no problems until now as my clutch has gone but that is partly my fault as I managed to burn it out by reversing up a very very steep hill fully loaded (wasn't through choice it was single lane and a jeep had broken down causing large problems).
