I have used several different hosting providers in the past but non as good as heart internet. They have a fast and helpful support team which has proven extremely helpful. I would (and already have) recommended them to many. They did up the annual cost recently but personally don't mind paying an extra few quid so that they can continue to deliver quality as long as that's all it is. (read more)

A local charity had an account with them. The charity were donated hosting so transferred the domain and informed Heart of the event. Over 4 months they still kept taking payments, even digging up an old Visa card when the Direct Debits were stopped. On calling customer services they have been rude, don't want to discuss anything because they can not find anything on record saying we wanted to close the account. “LOSS OF DATA- AFTER SERVER RESTART”

Hi, Has anyone else experienced complete data loss recently with Heart Internet. We were informed of a routine restart PERFORMED BY HEART INTERNET , which unfortunately resulted in both our main server and our backup server "Simply not restarting" I am no server technician but this seems like a much wider problem to effect two separate servers at the same time. Let's just say the only thing "fast" about their hosting service was the way my money disappeared paying for little extras for my clients. Its fair to say that Heart has changed and maybe as all successful companies do, has grown too big too fast, losing that personal touch. I would like to comment on the shared hosting being poor.

Yes in someways they ask for a negative review as they talk about unlimited. The service is not unlimited at all and they should rethink that, however you as a consumer must realise that shared hosting like that will never give you the power you need to run an effective hosting business if you have sited more than a simple 10 page site with static content...

Strange, as I've been with them for years and never had a problem with anything. Ever. Especially downtime. I have over 60 accounts and it recently got quicker. Support tickets are answered promptly and efficiently. Very helpful, competent and the only arrogance I've ever witnessed in conjunction with Heart is written in your review.

I call BS on this one.

As for unauthorised payments, you gave them your card details, that's authorised. Order a new card, job done.

If you give your card details to a company this does not authorise them to make debit money whenever they like without the cardholder's permission.

It seems you too fail to understand this basic concept. As such I'm going to take a wild guess and say you're Heart Internet.

I too have been with heart for many years and have nothing but praise for their efficiency and honest business ethics!

You clearly have not experienced the other providers out there!

If you think that the internet, software and hardware never has problems you are in the wrong business or have very unrealistic approach to technology.

I work for myself. I pay Heart my hard earned cash every month which I get from my happy clients. I'm a reseller. I host 60 websites with them, from small businesses to large corporate sites. Heart owe me nothing, its just credit where credit is due. They're not perfect, but they try to be, very much. Like wws comment says have you tried the rest? I've had some really really bad times before Heart.

I also know if anything goes wrong its usually me to blame, and they will still help me work it out, politely and timely.

Whenever I look at a list of 4-5 star reviews-a-plenty, and there's only one person submitting a one star review, I usually think that person should really look into how they acted and reacted during the situation that they thought deserved no more than a one star.

The buck usually stops with this person, but they always think the one-star company owes them something for their own shortfalls, whether that be down to their own lack of experience, communication skills, troubleshooting ability or just plain courteousness.

Hint: be polite and courteous to your provider, rule out everything you can before giving them a shout, and be clear at every turn, especially when reporting an issue. Knowledge is key. You will have a much better time. And learn to point the finger towards yourself sometimes...you will learn more about yourself, and your task.

I have been a customer of Heart Internet for some years and I have to say that they are probably one of the best companies I have had the pleasure to deal with They always answer my support questions within the hour and when they have maintenance issues they are the first to mention it! “What I think of the Support Service from Heart Internet”

From the start you have to understand that I am stupid. Fact. So anybody trying to help me has to work at a very low level. The support people at Heart seem to understand that and thus always show the utmost patience and consideration and go into everything to the Nth degree. I CANNOT speak too highly of the service I receive from them. I have worked in computing for nearly fifty years and can say that I have NEVER encountered a better support service anywhere. I use Heart, Webfusion, 1&1, Fasthosts, GoDaddy, LCN regularly and you are so far ahead of the rest in quality of customer response. You have very knowledgeable, literate, customer focused people working with you. They understand the issues quickly, and give high quality responses. This is an review for Heart Internet. We have now used them for our hosting provider for the past year the service we have received has always been second to none. Got a notification email telling me my domain was about to run out. I ignored the emails because I no longer wanted the domain. Checked my bank account a couple of days later and they took £44 for 2 years domain registration as the auto renewed it. I contacted them saying I never consented to this, but they just said that it was in their terms of service and there was nothing that i could do. To be fair, it does say in the notification email that the domain will be renewed automatically, and that if you don't want it renewed you need to mark it for cancellation. I've always been very happy with this feature, because I can't possibly lose a domain just because I've forgotten to renew it.

I hope you turned off auto renewal with go daddy as that is there default setting.

Heart Internet has been a very good provider. We use a Virtual Private Server (vps) and we moved there as they were recommended to us and the price was good. There have been problems but they were very quick to react and fix them. The 2 main issues were 1st a ddos attack on the kvm (the really big server) on which our vps lives. That was affecting all sites on the kvm, and they suggested they could move our IP address to a different kvm which was unaffected. There was also a catastrophic... (read more)

Hi there, Used Heart for years and host 100's of domains & hosting accounts with them (however now slowly moving to an alternate provider). Used to love them. Over the last 6 months it's just got worse and worse though. Now-a-days I sadly am having to get used to: - Around 1-3 days for problems to get resolved. Couldn't agree more. They forget it is a reseller service and block/turn off/.restritc OUR customers. Funny how every time a negative review goes up a positive one popls up.
