    We joined UK2 Reseller Plus in March 2009, transferred in 100+ websites and the service was trouble free for several months. However for the last 2 months the service has been DIRE. For the last week our entire portfolio of websites has gone down most days. At the time of writing they're all down again and have been so for 1.5 hours. You can't get hold of anyone by phone and they take their time to answer the tickets we raise. They offer no explanation for the downtime which is much lower than their guaranteed 100% service level.

    The reason seems clear to us though - the server on which our websites are hosted is overloaded - but it's not us doing the overloading. We've repeatedly asked them to move us to a better server but no response.

    Their advertised list of features including free SSL certificates looks great on paper but if they can't keep your websites up their product is no good at any price.

    I am a professional web master and I have several clients hosting with this company and their (and my) experience of this company is that they are arrogant, unhelpful and provide a very poor level of customer service.

    Sooner or later UK2 will update/change their set-up and suspend, without warning or explanation, providing the service you signed up for. This leaves their clients to figure out why their e-mail, web site etc have suddenly stopped working fully or have disappeared altogether.

    We have been with Uk2 for over 5 years where they host 3 of our buisness web sites. At the start they were a very good company however since july 2009 when they decided to charge us an extra £1 for every email address every thing has gone wrong. As we pay for 100 free email address this was a bit of a cheek, but as we could not complain, as there was no one to complain to we paid up. Since then our email has not worked.     Would agree with the various other voices here. I am running a small business using UK2's POP3 service. The webmail has always been unreliable, so eventually I bought a netbook and used it to connect to their POP3 servers. At least once a week, these are down throughout the day. SMTP servers are extremely unreliable too.

    This company's service over the last few weeks has been shocking. Over a week ago they lost all emails in their customers mailboxes! Initially they said not to worry because they would be restored by the end of the day ... then by the end of the next day ... but since then (10 days ago and counting) it has gone worryingly silent. My assumption now is that I'll never see my emails again.
    I've raised support requests to find out if/when emails will be restored and have not received a response.

    Like many other reviews I have had real problems with the support. My site email forwarding has now been down two weeks and still no nearer getting it back. All this seems to have happened with there site update.
    If they can not get their own system working goodness knows what is happening to their customer base.

    We have just suffered 3 weeks without email which is devastating to our business and makes us look foolish. UK2 have been completely useless in repsonding to service requests. The phones don't get answered - except sales who are unable to do anything but fob you off. As a company they don't seem to care about the impact their lax approach hase on their customers business.
    If anyone would like to join a class action to sue this awful, incompetent company please contact me.

    Appalling service. The site is rarely working. My emails have been lost (including all saved emails). Technical support do not answer the phone. By far the worst company I have ever dealt with and they cannot and will not give you an explanation. I have had to give 1 star ratings but they do not even derserve that!

    I'm just looking at this site in order to find a new host. Let me add my review to the UK2 pile. Email outages over the past weekend. My website down for over 2 WEEKS a month or so ago. Like many reviewers, when I started my business UK2 were cheap and relatively ok.
    It's been a long slippery slope down since then and now they are dreadful. If you want any kind of reliability then UK2 are to be avoided. If you want to lose important email, these are the boys for you.

    Sounds like I'm adding my name to a list of like-minded souls; I too have many years with UK2.NET and yes, I should have moved a long time ago, but classic small business, there are never enough resources to do important but not, or so I thought, really critical jobs. We will need to redevelop all our sites to move, at considerable expense, but this last email migration, now coming up to a week and a half, in which we've received barely any mails from customers, has just really hit the mark and ...

    I started off with UK2.net around 10 years ago and you know what it's like, you get yourself tied-in on the hosting, forwarding and email and it becomes too much of a hassle to move. Over this time I have had email outages probably 2-3 times per YEAR and the support is next to non-existent.     Absolutely atrocious. With the e-mail server problems of the last few days, I have completely lost faith in them. Yes, any competent company should be able to manage a mail server. I would be very surprised if all of our e-mails on the old server aren't lost, and will not be transferred to the new server. I can't trust their assurances any more and will be switching to a new provider.

    I've been a uk2 customer for some years and, though they have like all providers had their bad days, the service since 16 September 2009 has been appalling. I run a small business and use their free POP3 email service, which for many years has been fine. Over the past 2 months their POP3 service has been dreadful, either it hasn't worked at all or I could send mail but not receive or vice versa.     A very poor hosting company, almost every week either my mail server or my web server is down.

    There have a live chat system, which is hardly man, sending web mails can take 2 to 3 days before I get a reply. Leaving me with no choose but to call the tech team at 50p per minute - when the problem is not mine.

    The only good thing I could say for them is the price - it is reasonable.

    Same here, email has stopped forwarding. Their support is rubbish - only get standard answers. They are obviously employing complete idiots as they can't solve a simple email issue. They told me it was a load balancing problem.
    I used to work in software for fifteen years and we had fines everyday we did not completely fix an issue.

    I've been with UK2 for 2 months as a domain provider with one free Email address - and been able to download EMail for about 3 days.

    Unable to contact technical support - they don't answer. Spoken to Sales and Billing who both advise they're aware of the problems with Email servers and have no idea when they're going to be fixed. Only advice they could give me if I want reliable access to Email is to move to another provider - for which they'll charge me £20!!

    I have used UK2 for about 5 or 6 years now. I'd not really had any issues with them until...

    I recently moved my servers. Oh dear... I am STILL trying to get UK2 to sort out the DNS. I have a bucket of emails that have been sent back and forth between us.     Cheap BUT buyer beware: Shared Email servers always down, shared mail servers blocked by many companies in US and Europe so don't ecxpect your email to get through, technical support team very very slow and some almost incompetant (but some very good), server configurations change without notice, Sales team quote features that aren't available - Would recommend for non critical static home website with a couple of email addresses but not for business use.
