I was originally with Payplan - a free service and it was a nightmare, I ended up with CCJs and endless grief, I transfered to GP over 4 years ago and I became debt free this week. They have been just so helpful, just having someone on the end of the phone whenever you need to ask anything is so invaluable. The managed bank account and clear budgets has meant I have had more money to spend on my family without having to worry about paying the bills, the creditors, as that aspect has all been dealt with for me. I never thought I would see this day especially as I owed over £24k, and it just feels so good.

I have been with GP for about 9 months. I managed to get myself into a huge amount of debt £13,000) - I didn't use to worry about it as I was earning a good wage.
I then moved to a different area and my good wage turned into a peanuts (part time temping contracts). I kept borrowing money and pretending that everything would work itself out....it didn't and I was just making it worse.
I contacted GP who were friendly and helpful from the first phone call. I knew right from the offset that ...- Read Guest's review (248 words)

I got myself into a very big mess indeed with credit cards and all other sorts of debt.
In the end i could not affoard to repay it all and was getting a lot of trouble off the creditors.
I contacted Gregory Pennington IVA who from the word go had me feeling so much better.
I now only pay £90p/m to them and they deal with all my creditors for me so I do not even need to call themb or wait on them calling me!
I have now been with GP for nearly a year and my life has totally changed.
A huge ...- Read Guest's review (214 words)

I have just recently arranged help for debt consolidation with Gregory Pennington. I have not signed anything yet, but the help I need has been promised. Sounds too good to be true, BUT I am so scared to go ahead and take the help incase it goes wrong? I have read many reviews, some of which are good and some bad. Can anyone help me to make up my mind?- Read Guest's review (70 words)

When I first signed up with Gregory Pennington and Think Banking 2 years ago, it was a weight of my mind. I thought I'd finally be getting my finances back on track - boy was I wrong.
For the last two years I've been paying GP £200 a month towards my debts as well as a £15 banking fee and £20 monthly debt management fee. In that time, I had been told my interest on the accounts had been stopped. So I would have thought that I'd have made an impact on my debts.
Today was ...- Read Angels Sin's review (441 words and 2 comments)

I worked for banks since the age of sixteen and when turning 18 got sold everything the bank had to offer being very naive and immature. I managed to build up a huge amount of debt then lost my job. ended up missing numerous payments and owing around £15K.
I called Gregory Pennington IVA for help and am glad to say they have been excellent. My agreement is just a few months old and I still get some letters from creditors but am assured these will stop and at the moment I have no reason n ...- Read Guest's review (160 words)

I joined Gregory Pennington IVA / Debt management in november 2008 as I am only 22 years old and made a total mess of my finances from when i was 18 and able to get credit. I have now had a baby and only working part time now which means I was having more money going out than coming in. I kept missing payments on cards and relying on my mum for support. As soon as I made the first call to GP a huge weight had been lifted off of me. They have taken care of everything for me gave me an affordabl ...- Read bzfan60's review (232 words)

My husband and I have been with Gregory Pennington and think banking for two years and in just over a year will both be debt free for the first time in ten years. We were a young couple with dependants with mounting debts, nowhere near enough coming in to cover everything going out. We had numerous letters and phone calls daily and didn't know where to turn. We tried contacting cccs and were given an appointment for six weeks time, no where near quick enough. From the moment we contacted gp a we ...- Read maccanat's review (248 words)

I used Gregory Pennington for the first time this year when my mother in law (who is 69) got in to deep money troubles. She told me she needed help as she was pay all her money on debts and not paying her rent and poll tax. So I got in touch with GP and they came up with a payment plain that suit her fine and cut her out goings by 50%. and there fees are stated before you sign up so you are aware of them and you are sent a statement of what you are paying back in total if you need to contact the ...- Read Guest's review (132 words)

Though some of my creditors accepted an offer of payment initially I feel that there was a lack of communication from my finance manager to these companies. I have a friend who is also on debt management with them and we were both told that the creditors were on an 'auto acceptance' due to good relations? If I ever had a query I would be assured that I would get a response within a few days but this didn ' t always happen and I was forced to call in again, bearing in mind that we have to call a ...- Read katie118's review (471 words and 1 comment)

When you ring Gregory Pennington they explain everything to you - all call are recorded so they have to make sure all information is correct. I think some people hear what they want to! They do charge a fee but the free companies usually work for the creditors so dont have you best interest at heart - there are also people on hand 12 hours a day! Excellent service!- Read Guest's review (68 words)

I was put in contact with Gregory Pennington and told this would be the best way to deal with my debts. After being on the phone for 2 hours I agreed to their help. I was posted out the pack to read through and after discussing it with my husband and looking at there fees we decided they would be no point in going ahead as we would only be paying out £100 less a month and really didn't see the need to go ahead, therefore we decided to sit down and work things out ourselves. I returned no ...- Read loodeac's review (359 words)

Been with Gregory Pennington for a while, and compared to the other comments here I owe a great deal. Frankly the peace of mind of letting someone else handle my creditors is worth the admin fee. Prior to signing up I was heading for a breakdown from worry and fear that I could end up losing everything. Now I can relax and yes money is tight and it will be many years but the situation is being handled.
Problem I found with dealing with creditors direct is the sheer size and bureacratic incompete ...- Read Guest's review (125 words)

I rang them yesterday and pack is in the post!! But am quite concerned now with the reviews I have read about them and Think Banking....where do you go for advice on these things - I have 2 credit cards, one with 6,400.00 and the other with 4,000 on them - 2,250.00 overdraft and another 2,350.00 on various debts - and they say I will pay 180.00 a month for 5 years and that is it?!!! Can this be real? I am not aware of any other charges or interest and will pay 12.50 a month for think banking.... ...- Read Guest's review (98 words)

Speak to CCCS instead - they are free. Gregory Penningtons charge a fee for doing what most people should be able to sort out themselves. If not, speak to CCCS as they will do exactly the same thing, for nothing. Also everytime you speak to Gregory Pennington they try to sell me something - a great help when they're supposed to be helping you get out of debt. Your credit rating will also be greatly affected. Why not try calling them - they'll sound understanding but will try to sell you their ...- Read niggless's review (103 words)

I applied for a loan to be told i cant get one but they will help me repair my credit with an affordable plan. The first payment of what would have been £280.00 + 25% admin fee (£342.50) was their fee. My creditors would get paid from my 2nd fee onwards. ** I refuse to accept it costs £342.50 to send letters, faxes and make phones calls to liaise with 6 creditors! ** And why do creditors get paid from the 2nd payment, If I was a creditor i would question this and so many do. I ...- Read topu's review (229 words)
