Good Points: Friendly service, atmosphere. Consistently good food.

Bad Points: Would like to see more real ales - but it's an Everards pub.

Friendly welcoming reception by staff. Food excellent and well presented. Jazz nights particularly enjoyable. A regular customer we are yet to be disappointed.

Very friendly village pub, which serves top restaurant quality food.

I found that the food is very poor. Powdery tasteless salmon fish cakes, and overcooked chips. Presentation was quantity, not quality. The best tables seem not to be used at lunchtime - tables near the toilets are used. Waitress was very good. Wines were very good. Very badly refurbished in a mess of different woods. Character seems to have been ripped out of a beautiful looking old pub.

Disappointing, expensive meal, problems with interpretation of "medium" cooked steak. I felt that there was an appalling treatment of customer dissatisfaction, demonstrating a lack of concern for potential repeat business.
