    Good Points: Usually cooks well - would probably perform better if I cleaned it more often!
    Cook chips as recommended by Delia - eight minutes on moderate heat then three minutes on high.


    Bad Points: It does make a bit of a mess, but I certainly haven't experienced boiling fat flying everywhere, and I've been using mine regularly for eight years.


    General comments: Generally I would say the Morphy Richards 45470 is a good appliance, robust, worked faithfully and well for eight years, never had to be mended. Now I've broken the knob that controls the thermostat and I can't figure out how to control the heating so I will have to get another one.

    Got a Morphy Richards 45470 and now have boiling fat flying everywhere when I use it (and Yes we dried the food before putting it in the fryer. And No it was not over-filled with fat). Yes, it fries food as advertised. That's as good as it gets. Having used it once my wife won't go near it and i suggest you keep the kids out of the kitchen when in use.
