    I am currently waiting for the Barclays telephone banking service representative. This is the so-called 'premier' account!

    The phone time indicates 48 minutes spent waiting. Unfortunately I cannot hang up as have to make an urgent payment.

    This definitely warrants a change of account.

    Be warned, this is a seriously insulting level of "service".

    No idea of where you are in the queue when you call Barclays Telephone Banking. Spent ages (1/2 hour) waiting and had to give up. It is very difficult understanding the person on the end of the phone. Phone call quality is very bad.
    Thinking of changing bank to one that has a better call center.

    just make sure that you only divulge the 2 digits when you call Barclays Telephone Bankingnot when they call you as I have had fraud happen when I got called at home and divulged 2 digits.

    Barclays Telephone Banking is absolutely clueless and unable to even find my account despite being a customer for over 15 years and having to repeat all my details several times over. Considering changing banks to someone who doesn't consider cheap labour a service.

    Value for money has to be high because Barclays Telephone Banking is FREE!!

    Service was good, and they can do most things over the phone for you. It is generally pot luck whether you can understand your customer service person, but generally they're OK.

    I've been using Barclays telephone banking for about 5 years now and find it excellent. You are given a card with your membership number on it and then are sent a passcode and when you call you have to put in your number and then 2 of the 5 numbers they ask for of your passcode. Then you can choose to get a current balance on your current account, pay a bill, transfer money or for any other banking enquiries you might have you can speak to a real person. They are always very polite and answer wi ...
