Good Points: Results are great and the recipe book is a good start -the Allinsons website is good for more recipes. I've made 2 loaves a week in it for 3 years and it's still going strong.

Bad Points: The instruction manual was a bit off putting at first -it's really not that hard to make bread. It's quite hard to clean the inside casing.

General comments: I've got the Panasonic SD251 breadmaker. The 251 -255 models all seem very similar -the higher the number, the more recent the model and the more programmes -you get a built in raisin and nut dispenser & rye & gluten programmes on the later models. You really want to get your hands on proper strong flour from Allinsons or Carrs for best results. The dispenser is useful if you set the timer overnight so I'd be tempted to pay a bit more for one of the later models next time round. I also liked the Italian programme on the 253 which my friend has. The results were nearly as good using the 251 on basic though so it depends how much you like your ciabatta.
