This bank is not a secure place to put your money in my money was stolen twice over the years and second time it was around two thousand pounds the person who dealt with my case treated me very badly and they never even said sorry for losing all that money what is the banks for in the first place i wish i kept my money at home instead of trusting these people be aware check your account regularly i m now rid of them for good changed my bank at last i wish ive done it earlier… Read Full Review

I've just switched to online banking with Barclays - at the same time I opened a current account with an another bank also with online banking. The difference between the two banks online banking service is like night and day. Barclays has NEVER worked first time, be it faults, server down or just not responding. trying to navigate this online system is a joke, log you out all the time, very hard site, had to end up phoning to make a transaction and was kept on the phone for hour and half in a queue, disgusting, am withdrawing all money in account and shall go elsewhere, this account was transferred over from ing direct, this is the worst online banking system i have used.barclays you need to get your act together… Read Full Review

Been with this bank for all of 1 month after transferring from ING. Absolutely appalling! The transfer included 5+ letters , 2 pins, car reader, authentication card and a membership number. Online banking totally confusing to use. Tonight I accidntally locked my pin.. not suprising number of activities just to logon. So far I have phone there help line 3 times, had a contact centre lady I could not understand, been passed twice and cut off twice... an told I need to go to a branch!… Read Full Review

“ING customer transferred to Barclays”

Our old ING account was transferred to a Barclays online account. We were signed up to telephone banking so have a pin for this. For the actual account we have a pin plus a card and card reader. The link we had between ING to a NatWest account has been deleted so I had to set this up again, this was very complicated. Totally agree and we will be doing the same. We got into difficulties accessing the account to start with and tried their helpline. Hopeless - waited at least 20 minutes to speak to a human being on each occasion, and the help centre is evidently somewhere out of UK where English is not spoken clearly. Awful service, really, and we'll be off.

No wonder the banking industry is in a mess if this is anything to go by. Asked for a deposit account, went in branch, seemed efficient enough, except they forgot to actually do anything with my paperwork, went in again and an English lady sorted it out. 2 days later tried Internet banking, needed a debit card to register for Internet banking, havent got one its a deposit account - doh!!! talked to the (un)helpdesk in India, - no use, said I had to open a current account too (which was possibly… Read Full Review

I seriously start to wonder how a massive corporation like Barclays can let such a ridiculously poor online banking system loose on the unsuspecting public and businesses. Why are the people who wrote this rubbish even in jobs?! There's a lot of items that when you submit or try to authenticate using PINSentry you get thrown back to the homescreen or forcibly logged out. “barclays plc is the worst company in the world.”

barclays plc is the worst company in the world. my money in my barclays bank account was stolen by a fraudster which has resulted in my barclays bank acc. being frozen. 9 days later, i still cant access my money and have not been reimbursed with the money that was stolen. and barclays staff have been no help at all. today i noticed that Barclaycard have charged me £1 interest which took me 33p over my credit limit and now ive also got to pay a £12 charge!! talk about being kicked in the… Read Full Review

Web site always has issues with me logging in. Asks so many questions then stops working or says I need to go to my branch to sort a problem out. Branch cannot see any problem and when they called the help desk in India the help line person hung up on them. The branch did persist and after 3/4 hour got no where. Barclays online banking is always REALLY stressful to anything on, that's if you can get on to it in the first place! Constantly says is down or having work done to it. Today I have done an 'online chat session' and 3 phone calls to India, where twice the buggers hung up on me after 12minutes! Is this the cut of point for making money on something as its costing me money via mobile recalling them! Worst thing is they never sorted out my problem with a blocked pin (they said it wasn't bloked) and asked if they could help with anything else! On site in the branches they are great but online, total waste of time online and via phone though.

“Useless at rectifying Major issues”

they keep going down and constantly having problems. as of today 31/10/13 I needed to take money out to get back home, however due to this problem with the bank going on MELTDOWN I'm afraid I had no way of getting home. So having to walk 2 hours to home on a main road wasn't the best of plans. espesh when it's 3 in the morning.
