    Good Points: none


    Bad Points: numerous


    General comments: There isn't enough space on the bottom tray to hold an average sized plate in the hotpoint fdw85. So you have to lie the plates down. The arm thats supposed to go round to wash can't because it gets stuck on the plates otherwise. Who designed this!!!!!!
    It also seems to get so hot that glasses often crack, which has now blocked the pump so its broken down -( 4 months old). Just about the worst dishwasher I've ever owned!!

    The Hotpoint FDW85 dishwasher is graphite coloured and fitted in with the kitchen decor. It was quiet. Expected the equipment to last a lot longer. Disliked the plate stacking options.lasted just over 2 years,the Fridge freezer bought at the same time lasted only 13 months.

    Bought this Hotpoint FDW85 on reports that it was the quietest dishwasher going. Yes, that may be true. But if you can't load your dishes and glasses it isn't a great lot of use, is it. I would dearly like to meet the designers of the baskets. tThe baskets seem to have been designed specifically to NOT accomodate anything, be it a plate, glass or mug. All of our stuff is either too long, too short or too round. Bit of a drawback, that.
