Have had this Indesit IDL 530 machine 18 months - was OK at first, but now does not clean the top rack properly. Have tried cleaning it and adjusting it - all to no avail. I am now looking to cut my losses and buy a new one, but it won't be an Indesit!

Got my Indesit IDL 530 from B&Q for £159 in a sale. Has never gone wrong in 9 months (touch wood), used twice a day. Has proved effective in all programmes, but I find the "rapid" setting does a great job on all but the most heavily stained dishes, and only takes 25 minutes! The dishes don't always come out totally dry, but that's no problem, I usually leave the door open for an hour or two before emptying the machine anyway. I have bought Indesit appliances for over ten years and have n ...

In general the Indesit IDL 530 is good looking, but I feel it should have been more reliable. Perhaps I was spoiled by our previous machine which lasted 21 years. I have noticed that almost every dishwasher quotes the exact same power consumption, with all of them quoting 'A' rating, so the old rule of buying a more expensive machine that might save you on fuel bill, doesn't really apply anymore I think. I have found a machine quoting a very low decibel rating of 43db, and it may be that it uses ...

I am VERY disappointed with this Indesit IDL 530. It looks good.

My previous dishwasher was also an Indesit, it was 12 years old and still working exceptionally well, the only reason to change was it was looking a little tatty.

    1. circuit board went after 13 months2. Does not dry dishes when finished3. top drawer does not slot into water pickup point correctly4. cutlery holder falls apart too easily5. does not rinse very well6. generally the clean quality is very poor

This Indesit IDL 530 is my third dishwasher since 1988 with a period without one from 2000 to 2001.I read numerous reviews about this particular one along with many others before making my decision and buying on line.It was very easy to plumb in (my 70+ husband completed installation in no time having installed the plumbing from scratch)Its quiet, efficient and does a very good job cleaning.Good capacity for whatever kind of load you may have.I like the cutlery basket which has a lid on it so ra ...

had to have the on/off button replaced on my Indesit IDL 530 after a few weeks that was a bit of a drama. The repair person had to make three trips till he eventually got the right button and fitted it. For a cheap dishwasher it did well used everyday for over 2 years, the rinse aid dispenser seems to have packed up now, The part is available for £32.00 but requires an expert to fit it.

Wouldn't buy one of these Indesit IDL 530 again, mainly because of the poor utensil basket, which breaks easily when silverware is dropped in and results in the lower arm jamming. Exposed heater element melted some plasticware when it fell through the basket.Dishes aren't dry after end of wash, you'll have to open the door to let out all the steam.

What is it with the green flashing lights? I personally hate this machine.....at first it was fine, then wouldn't rinse properly and now the flashing lights!
Is there no hope for it?

Tends to leak all over the floor on some occasions - not all the time. It waits until we think it won't leak, then whoosh ... bubbles and water all over the floor. Nice looker, but I'd select an alternative as it tends to leak in a BIG way...

When this Indesit IDL 530 dishwasher was first delivered there was a problem plugging it in and therefore the engineer left without testing it. When I tried to use it it was faulty with the lights flashing on the display to indicate the problem. I had a plumber out twice thinking that it was the installation that was incorrect but in the the end it turned out that the dishwasher just didn't work. It then sat in my kitchen for three weeks before a new one arrived. I have had the new one for 15 m ...
