I have had a Volvo S60 for 7 years, its stunning and the fuel is shocking 46 mpg. The only thing i would wath out for is lots of blacke smoke from the rear thats a new rad and intercooler they are not cheap around 650 for the lot and fitting. Tyres are sound but wath the turning as on 17/18 rims can cause rubbing on the wheel arch then new tyres.

Great all in all package, impressive performance, bought my Volvo S60 a year ago and done 25000 miles, still enjoying the drive. What all the fuss about handling? It handles beautifully for such a big car. does 600 miles for full tank (70 litre). I had many cars in my life, was never convinced with one like this great D5 auto engined. Last thing; acceleration on the motorways is a pleasure.

It is better than german rivals as an all-rounder, taking into consideration value for money.

I have a Volvo S60 D5, it is great on juice, it's a very good performing car all round, it's not slow at all, and value for money you cant go wrong!

Best car ever for the money you cant go wrong, you could go out there and spend your money on a more expensive car, but you will regret it when it breaks down on the motorway and a Volvo goes past you!

Purchased my Volvo S60 D5 SE 2004, 2 years ago. Cold not have bought a nicer car, better then a 3/5 series BMW any day! Good points are looks, Power, Superb comfort, fuel economy, safety, build quality.

unless you do U turns all day, the turning circle should not be an issue.

This is a very solid car

The Volvo S60 is an honest good value car and great all rounder, ticks most of the boxes for a classy family car and with good fuel economy, had many cars in my time and this Volvo is my general favourite. Bought a brand new SE D5 diesel a few years back on a 05 plate and done nearly 90K miles in 2 years with very little trouble, got fed up and changed for someting else, since then I have had a Peugeot 407 a Saab 95 and a MG Rover ZT and they where all really rubbish and have decided to buy anot ...

I have bought many cars in my time, some good and also the rubbish ones, so when I recently bought my Volvo S60 D5 SE on a 07 plate it has to be said that this Car exceeds my expectations by a mile, and yes I will sit proud at the traffic lights as others look on in admiration.
Great car. Fantastic engine, smooth, dynamic and not thirsty at all, especially on long journeys, average consumption around 7 litres, even less on motorway. Excellent comfort, very cosy interior, good quality stereo, low ...

Bought my 1st Volvo s60 d5 when it was 2 years old. I have it 2 years now. No lack of power in any gear. Excels on long runs delivering OK economy about 40mpg. Really comfortable although difficult to get the right heat setting on the climate control. The auto wipers have a mind of their own too. I prefer to turn off the STC (stability and traction control) to experience the full power and it feels more like a hot hatch on full acceleration. Engine grunt 1st attracted me but has now got a bit ti ...

I had a BMW 5 series before and the Volvo S60 is more comfortable, better equipped and more economical than the 5 series. It also has a fantastic stereo system.

Superb car, fuel economy is fantastic and they perform very well (more so when re-mapped). Sport leather seats are nicer than most sofas!
Attractive, good value for the spec.

The volvo S60 D5 SE is very nice to drive and so comfortable. The engine is superb and gives off a nice grunt when I pick up speed. In my opinion the handling isnt to good at higher speeds but more than makes up for it with everything else.

I've just upgraded from an S40 1.8 petrol SE 1998, which was a lovely car.
Now it isn't a lovely car, my S60 D5 SE auto, 02 plate is a lovely car.
Night and day, pure power, 38 mpg in town, I've had the trip meter reading 70 mpg plus on motorway, so comfortable, outstanding sound system. I've done my homework on parts: shop around to get them cheaper!. But my family experience in Volvo's is they don't break, so enjoy this car! I must be honest, descent tyres will cost you, but hey they are 17i ...

The Volvo S60 D5 SE is a good vehicle that is spoiled with the turning circle. The engine tends to be a little noisy.

I have had an S60 D5 SE for a year now. I had it chipped up to 200bhp and much more torque and now it clearly suprises other road users. Good comfort for long diatance (driver only-see above). I average 43mpg for a mix of country and motorway driving.

    Volvo S60 D5 SE:
Having been in the motor trade for too many years to remember as a main dealer and retailer of used cars as well, I have personally owned and ran literally scores of cars of all sorts. More recently my wife and I have both ran Mercedes but, compared to the earlier models, these now seem to me to be not so good value for money and leave much to be desired in the reliability and quality control departments !!
I have recently decided that enough is enough and returned to my old ...

This is my third Volvo, 850 estate and the last one was a Volvo S60 2.0t.

This car is not up to standard, the diesel is noisey, and the fuel economy on motorway journeys, does not come up to expectations at 36/37 per gal.

Climate control, cannot make its mind up what temp to supply.
Have had to have a new rear screen because the heater interfeard with the radio.
Drivers seat base has been replaced twice in 35000 miles as it dropped 2 inches.

In short, what have volvo done? Give me bac ...
