I have found UW club to be efficient and the broadband consistent. Only once(in a couple of years) did I have trouble getting connected and it rarely disconnects itself. Helplines appear to be Uk based and understandeable. However I am finding that as we don't have gas in our area, I can't have enough services with them to merit free anytime calls. This means that my phone bill is far more expensive that it could be if I joined another provider. I wanted to email UWclub about this but have beeen unable to find a contact email on their website.

An advantage of UWclub is that you can use over-ride numbers with them (which you can't do with Onetel, Tiscali and others). I can phone my daughter's mobile in India for .05p a minute using an 0844 number. Overall I'd recommend it but I'm not sure their services are the cheapest option. JL

Horrendous & expensive to leave them!!! I'm talking about Broadcall with Utility Warehouse. They have nearly given me a nervous breakdown the last few weeks! The broadband speed is slow, slow, stop. Some of the customer service telephonists have been extremely sarcastic with me when I've tried explaining to them why I'm unhappy with their service and wish to leave. In fairness 1 person I spoke with this afternoon was trying to be much more understanding. I am within the 12 months, so I was told ...

I had wrongly blamed UW for my ever slowing broadband OK daytime but evenings were very slow. I contacted them and I received a list of things to check including a direct log in to BT line speed checker. It did not tie up my Internet was slow but BT seemed to think it was OK hmmm...Control panel/lan settings/properties/altered from use this DNS to use any DNS ..now excellent. funny ol world. I am never wrong.

I have been the utility warehouse for a little over 4 months now and I don't have a bad word to say about them, I had a query with my hardware when it first came but that was down to me not reading the instructions, they helped me sort it out, and were very helpful, I used to be with bt broadband and when I moved over I realized how bad bt actually are, I think if people have had a bad experience with the utility warehouse they should just ring them up and get it sorted, as it gets you know wher ...

Absolute rubbish - and I am a distributor!!!
When I complain they fob me off, and i will pay £50 to get out of Broadcall.
I was promised and I quote "lightning fast broadband" what a joke
This week - all week in evenings fastest was 0.2 mb!!!
Funny though, if you wait until about 12:30 or 1 am the speed suddenly switches to 2mb instantly as though someone somewhere throws a switch??
Why doesn't OFCOM do something about these sharks??
At least o2 says "not satisfied in 30 days cancel withou ...

Absolute rubbish slow slow slow dialup speed but pay for broadband. I am changing to BT at least if I change to them I can discuss the problem. When you pay someone else BT won't discuss your line or speed issues. I have been with this lot for 5 years and it has got worse and worse until now it is unusable.

All is well until there is a problem or you want to move to a better provider, waited one hour +, on a number of occasions, for service and on two occasions the call terminated before I uttered a word
It is keenly priced though and if you get service without the need to call often then its ok,but loyality with xln doesnt count for much

The only person that gains anything from this joke of a company is the person that runs it.

Distributors are on par with Kleeneze distributors, so deluded its untrue.

Broadband is pants, gas, electric and phone is not the cheapest.

Save yourself the stress and hassle and stick with the big guns, not this mickey mouse outfit.

Excellent service and reliability. Its great value too, especially as I take gas and electricity with them as well - they give free calls, etc.

Fantastic customer service and free technical help when you are a silver member £2 per month.

Download speeds have been excellent and have technicians that actually know a thing or two about computers!!

Customer service agents have always been really polite, helpful and never rushed. Even when I have asked for lots of things!

Connection to an agent is pretty quick compared to SO many other providers (and I've been with many over the years).

I've tested my broadband speed several times ...

I am a distributor AND a customer of utility warehouse and take all services and have not had any problems with the internet. There are 3 computers in our family all using the internet at the same time in the evenings, the kids playing games and and surfing the net and we have never had a problem, as for people not being able to get through to customer services, I cant understand that as 90% of calls are answered within 15 seconds. am I biased? you bet I am! great customer service, great value f ...

I have been a customer of The Utility Wharehouse for around 6 years now. 6 years! I think that for me to stick with utility company for that amount of times speaks for its self. Before anyone starts to go off on one and try to say I must be a agent, I'm not.
Untill a few years ago i owned a small shop. An agent came into the shop one day and tried to talk me into switching. I wasn't interested, he excepted my argument and left. The next month he came back and told me what I would have paid for t ...

Usless afternoon and evening broadband speed. I wonder why Broadcall From The Utility Warehouse do not seem to be bothered about this. Must find a alternative supplier.

Although my Utility Warehouse Broadcall package is reasonably priced, I have come to realise that I'm getting what I pay for. My broadband download and upload speeds are very slow. Frequently, at peak times especially, my browser won't connect to their server for up to 15 mins. of trying and my ping test tells me there's nothing wrong with my connection. Sometimes the connection just drops in mid-stride. I know that my BB quality is also dependant on conditions at my local exchange (non-LLU), ho ...

Switched to Utility Warehouse Broadcall from Tiscali about 8 weeks ago.

There is no comparison, the speed is so much faster, for me it was much cheaper and when I had a query I got through to the company very quickly.

I live in the country, quite a distance from the local exchange, so was very pleasantly surprised.

Have been a UW customer for many years now except for broadband which I kept on the superfast Virgin. Last month I changed to UW Broadcall because I wanted the VOIP telephone line - but the internet is unusable in the evening. The speedtests wont finish and my email also times out (I use Orange - the old Freeserve!). During the day and after 11pm its about 1.6mg speed. Note: I have no problems with UW apart from the internet.

Tomorrow Ill call and give them an ultimatum - either improve my even ...

54mbps most of the time is quite quick enough for me. The service I have had is outstanding from Broadcall From The Utility Warehouse , I cannot understand anyone who writes a bad review about this company. With the CB card I also knock between £40 -£50 of my utility bill every month!!

    The Utility Warehouse
Just ran a speed test - 96Kbps - absolutely useless and I'm only 700m from the local exchange.
