A real POS company who take advantage of a dodgy contact for unwary buyers.
I just got a threat of legal action today, something to do with their "renewal fee" when you go elsewhere, which is something many of us do each year.

For as long as I live I will never deal with these people again.

esure are a prime case for complaining to the insurance ombudsman.

Esure are rubbish! i suffered flood damage to my property nearly 8 months ago and they have still not settled it. It is impossible to talk to anyone handling the claim. They are so unhelpful.

Having spent the last ten years as an insurance repair contractor, I would just like to say that E-sure have been a pleasure dealing with, good prompt payers. Looking at the comments below it is true that they do not have a ' Repair Network ' of there own, but this is not at bad thing, they are eager to resolve and sourcing a local contractor that regards you as the customer is time well spent, who in there right mind would want a large multi million pound construction company that subs work d ...

I've been claim free for 20 years. When I did claim, it was so difficult on a claim for water damage that I gave up. I will never deal with Esure again.

Unbelievably Esure do not seem to have any approved contractors to carry out insurance repairs. They just want to write a cheque. This is fine if you have minor damage or know a good contractor. What happens when a car hits your house and causes several thousand pounds worth of damage? Answer - find your own builder and they'll send a cheque. As a result of someone else's careless driving we are left with the headache of finding quotes and reliable builders. What is the point of having insurance ...

Made a claim last year as a motorbike drove into my garage door. The Esure customer services were very helpful and very understanding - Had someone out to look at the damage within days and a replacement within a few weeks - highly recommended as an insurer - claim went through with great ease - no questioning or doubt which many can do and make you feel like your a liar when your not.

In 40 years of dealing with Insurance Companies for Car, Travel & Contents Insurance, Esure are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.
As opposed to other companies, who go through the process of confirming the truthfulness of a claim with a standard validation process, Esure appear to start from the premise that they are not going to pay out on a claim and they then employ every devious and underhand method they can think of to support that viewpoint.
I was mugged over 18 months ago ...

Home insurance is a difficult choice to make and it is hard to get a company who doesn't need to know your inside leg measurement before they will insure you. Their price and cover was good but their call centre staff are very annoying. If you hate having your life invaded by clones don't try Esure.

You probably won't get comparable cover with anyone else at the price of Esure Home Insurance, but at what cost?? My £750 TV was damaged when moving it between rooms, and it would not work afterwards. I called to claim, and I was informed that I would be called back by one of their 'Assessors'. Fine right? Wrong!! I didn't have a problem as this was a genuine claim, or so I thought. What I did not expect was a Spanish Inquisition type questioning session lasting about 30 minutes and rec ...

I am in the process of looking for contents insurance. By far, I have found esure to be the cheapest and covers the same parameteres as other insurance companies. The difference in the premium between esure and other insurance companies is very significant approx £100 difference!!, which is a good news , however, I want to know if there are any catches when it come to claimng from esure

    Regards,

After getting numerous quotes to renew my home insurance Esure was the cheapest by £30-£80.

The cover seems comparable, if not better than the others. On the website it gives you the option to check the premium if you add or subtract items like accidental damage and amount of excess.

I was surprised to find that the premium hardly changed for lowering the excess and including accidental damage.

I've since recommended other people and it has been cheaper for them too. ...
