“This has to be the worst insurance company ever”

I had an accident which clearly wasn't my fault. Despite having a comprehensive cover, including legal cover, Esure told me that I have to pay them my excess first, and would get it back when the other party have paid them. They offered no support, no courtesy car, despite this being included in my cover. Absolutely terrribe. There is nothing to like about this company… Read Full Review

“Burglary ”

My home got burgled whilst I was away on holiday, you can imagine my shock when I arrived home and there were police inside my house. I called Esure straight away and they very kind, they took me through the process and what the next steps were. I felt a great deal of empathy was given over the phone which made me feel at ease. “Worst home insurance company ever!”

I bought home insurance with home emergency cover with esure end of last year. We had a leak coming along a room downstairs - which we suspected to be a leak from our bathroom shower area. Called esure, told them the problem, they asked about the details of the leak and what we have in the bathroom. After about 3 hours a chap arrived in a Dyno Home Emergency van. Absolutely rubbish, really unhelpful staff who don't listen to anything I say or the assessors say. I have had a leak from the upstairs flat, their bath seal was not properly sealed. Esure will not even try and claim on the flat upstairs insurance because they say they will probably not win unless I can prove negligence ( how do I do that? ). “NEVER buy home insurance from Esure or Sheilas Wheels!”

In our lifetime we have never made a claim on any insurance policy, but last July we were burgled and put in a claim for the first time. I now regret ever giving this company my business because we are still waiting to see if they will settle our GENUINE claim some 6 months later! “Useless home emergency cover.”

Glad I was within cooling off period of my home insurance when my boiler broke down due to failure of heat exchange part. Ensure sent out an Engineer who said that part would be ordered next day. I checked the price and would cost around 350-400£. Esure called me next day stating I have to pay 450£ excess as only 500£ is covered under emergency cover. They came up with all kind of extra parts and told me that Engineer still can not guarantee that boiler will work so I should just change it… Read Full Review

I put a genuine claim in and they do not want to pay questioning the contractor and saying he is too expensive. Do no use ESURE pay extra and get a decent company. Insurance ombudsman will be contacting ESURE and that costs them money. I have never made a claim and ESURE will not be on my renewing list. Avoid them at all costs.. They are rude and accuse you of having defrauded them!!! No stars at all for them and would give them -100..........

I have been insured with Esure Home Insurance for a couple of years now and thankfully this is the last month I have to put up with the imbeciles!!! Last January my policy was renewed automatically and the value of the contents rose in line with inflation. This took the contents value over £75k. Now with Esure it is compulsory to have an alarm fitted to cover £75K worth of contents. If you have contents to the value of £74,999 then an alarm is not compulsory. I agree Esure are not professional and they refused to pay out a perfectly good claim due to storm damage. Get the Insurance ombudsman involved and they will pay out. Avoid Esure at all costs!!!!

“Telephone team give customers really Duff advice!”

I've had Esure Home Emergency Cover for approximately 8 years now and never made a claim. Tonight our boiler literally exploded emitting clouds of steam and sending steam through the hot water taps and blowing the airing cupboard door open! After we had turned off the gas and water at the mains I telephoned Esure Home Emergency Cover at 8.45pm, they said they would call an Engineer but he would not be able to get out to us until the following day and could take anything up to 24 hours. Do not touch esure home insurance with a barge pole!!!! They are incredibly rude and will do everything they can to get out of not paying on a claim or even sending someone out. The home emergency actually said to me “esure don’t know what the terms and conditions are with the home emergency”! I had a problem with my boiler and possible leaking pipes.
