BOUGHT THIS BLENDER ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AND HAVE USED IT 25 /30 TIMES , MAINLY FOR SOUPS, SAUCES AND SMOOTHIES. TONIGHT I WAS MAKING SMOKED MACKEREL PATE WITH CREAMED HORSERADISH , CREME FRAICHE AND CIDER VINEGAR , PULSED FOR 90 SECONDS, STIRRED , AND PULSED FOR A FURTHER 60 SCONDS. HORRIBLE BURNING SMELL , MOTOR DIED ! MANUFACTURERS STATE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED SO NO LIABILITY. WILL NEVER BUY ANY BREVILLE ANTONY WORRALL-THOMPSON PRODUCT EVER AGAIN !!!!

I love this Breville BL19 Antony Worrall Thompson Blender.
Yes, some programmes are loud (ice crushing function). The design is great. The programmes are helpful.
It's easy to clean.
There is a knack to getting the blade out though. If you look directly into it you'll see that there are 2 blades slightly longer bent upwards, you want to tilt it so that one of these come out first. (Easy when you know how, I fiddled with it at first)
Downside: No hot liquids allowed. States clearly on top. Another reviewer said that she broke hers using hot water and breville don't do replacement jugs. I emailed them about this but have not received yet a reply but overall, I am pleased.
