Had a Baby Gaggia for 10 years and used it every day. After it finally gave up, we considered getting another Baby replacement. After searching we discovered the Gaggia Cubika had all the same attachments and overall benefits but was cheaper. We bought it and couldn't be happier. It makes fantastic cappucinos and the milk froths beautifully. Had no real problems with this coffee maker, however I use it infrequently. It looks stylish, hasn't broken yet and makes perfectly acceptable coffee. The negatives are that It's a faff to clean and the steam pipe doesn't froth particularly well. Maybe more expensive models are better but this wasn't exactly cheap. Not sure how it would withstand daily use. (read more)

Avoid this machine it is rubbish.
I bought mine in John Lewis, Bristol as a successor to Krups machines that had given me years of good service.
Sadly when I bought a 3rd Krups it rapidly deteriorated and when I returned it to JL they had stopped stocking, so I chose the Gaggia instead. Big mistake. The build quality is just pants. First the steam knob broke, which i was able to work round with some fiddling, then finally the machine stopped pumping to make coffee. Its gone to the tip and I...

as a trained barista gaggia machines are fantastic for home use until they go wrong then the problems start gaggia use PHILIPS to repair the machines. the first time my machine failed it took 6 weeks to come back and within a month i had the same problem, i contacted gary the service manager of philips and asked for a spare machine to use whilst mine is being fixed they said no they wouldnt do it so i asked for a refund or to swap for a machine that was either cheaper or the same price once...
