I bought this machine in November 2011. It worked well, making lovely coffee, until March 2012 when there was no power to the machine. The machine went off to be repaired under warranty. It was returned within a few days working perfectly well. Since then, the machine stopped working on a further 3 occasions, with Nescafe replacing the machine in August 2012. I love the dolce gusto coffee, but my machine started to leak after 4 months. they took 3 months to repair and it started to leak 3 days after. It's a nightmare. The service is very poor and I don't recommend. (read more)

I live in Greece and bought this machine (piccolo) 5 weeks ago from a multistore downtown Athens.Nestle products aren't much favored for coffee cause they are more popular with instant coffee,so for "expert" lovers of coffee this is not an option.For people like me (no expert,but i enjoy a good cup of coffee or chocolate) is an all around easy to use,no mess with a big variety of tastes.My only negative point goes for the difficulty to stop the manual machine in the right time so the outcome... first the machine works well, that said nescafe will not honor their points program. did not receive the free sample when purchased the machine. customer service will not answer any emails. and no local retailers will carry the capsules. even wal-mart stop carrying their products. Keurig k-cups are every where, and much more reasonably priced. i will list my Krups Nescafe Douche Gusto on craigslist and try to recoup some of my expenses. (read more)

A week after the warranty ran out, this machine started leaking from every possible crevice, especially around the top where the capsules go. I called customer 'services' who were very rude and not helpful at all. I waited a week for an 'unblocking tool' (which is just a curved pin) and it did not help at all. Having descaled the machine several times, it still leaks everywhere. I called customer services again and was told that it costs £45 to repair! What a rip off!! I am refusing to pay... (read more)

Save your £45. Mine has just done the same(has been repaired once under warranty for same fault). What you need is a replacement capsule piercing plate part MS-622718 available from werl for about £12 inc shipping. Dead easy to fit - remove water tank and capsule holder. Engage mechanism then gently pry cast plate and seal down at front - 15 sec job.

I would advise all consumers to be extremely careful when purchasing Nestle Dolce Gusto products in Canada based on my family’s personal experience, particularly when this is from a sales stand. We have had our Dolce Gusto about 3 years now and it has been used almost every day! The espresso, cappuccino, latte and hot chocolates are wonderful. Im not fond of the lungo but that is just personal taste. Yes it is a bit noisy but you have to expect that with a coffee machine surely? Also it is very important to keep the limescale at bay with regular descaling or the pressure will drop quite considerably but that doesn't take long. I received the machine as a gift and found it easy to use although the capsules are horrendously expensive. The coffee tastes very good - it just takes time to learn how big a cup to use for different capsules. Sadly when it goes wrong, you are on your own. Great coffee, no fuss but obviously at a price , the capsules are horrendously expensive not feasible for hard core coffee addicts like myself, Even if I restrict myself to 2 cups of coffee a day it works out to cost half as much as my rental. So, adios to the dolce gusto n back to my good old coffee maker(I really don't mind the washing part if it soothes my wallet)

Tempted by special offers on the machine I purchased my coffee machine as a christmas present and immediately placed an order with their website. 4 weeks on 3 emails, 2 phone calls I still haven't had a delivery yet they have managed to take payment from my bank account 3 weeks ago. They placed the order again a week ago and it hasn't been despatched yet, remains to be seen if I'm charged again! I found this too. However, I realised that you need to use 2 pods for the latte (milk is a white pod and the coffee is brown)This is not clearly explained in the instructions and it should be. Nestle - are you reading this?

First time i used it i left it on too long but from the second use i got some great coffee and drinks it's really cool and the espresso is good quality the drinks are great and the aroma is there.Customer service is wow! i saw some reviews before i got it and was scared maybe it was hard to use but they all said its great coffee and its true!Also not complicated to use so i don't really see a downside...maybe the coffee are too small but when something is good you always want more haha (read more)

Hi, I bought my Dolce Gusto on Sept 1 and it worked great until yesterday Sept 11 when it would not give any water and the locking lever would not unlock. I called the company and was told to return it or take it to their local repair shop. I asked to speak to their repair technician and asked if this was a known problem and was told it was and that I needed to take it to the repair shop and get it fixed. I love the coffee more out of the Dolce Gusto than any other machine. I currently own two of the machines and even though they were fantastic at first, I have had a few problems with them since. One machine has been in for repair and the second is suffering the same problem of constantly leaking the contents of the water tank all over the place! We have had the same problem with leaking water, and the capsules not working everytime, so maybe the capsule problem not as rare as you were led to believe, it appears the pressure does not get through when the 2nd pod is inserted, unfortunately out guarentee has expired !!

We love our Gusto and wouldn't be without one. We had a Tassimo which we really liked, but this is much better. The cappucino is nicer than anything I've had in Starbucks or similar. My two wishes would be that you could get it to dispense hot water for tea and also that the water compartment was a little easier to remove and put back. Overall though, a wonderful machine. This Coffee machine is very nice, it turns out some cracking cups of coffee, just the right temprature, works very well, no complaints so far with it's operation and I have had for more than a year.
The best flavour available is mocha, only problem is you can only order it from the website, it's not available in any shops even the big supermarkets.
The postage and packing on the website is roughly around the same price as the pack of coffee which is fairly hard to swallow as you feel like...

Use Amazon they are cheapest, free delivery if you put it on standing order, they are £3.84 in Tesco and work out £3.00 or £9.00 for a pack of 3, and delivered in 24-48 hours,some of the packs are dearer, for vanilla,and caramels.

I bought the Dolce Gusto Fontana from Argos about 2 weeks ago, and this coffee machine makes delicious coffee, there is quite a good range of coffees to choose from, and once you find the one's you like you're likely to want to keep buying the same ones. Personally I like the Espresso, Caff Americano and Latte Macchiato and will no doubt keep buying those if I keep this.

I received the Piccolo for Christmas and this little machine is so wonderful! So far I've only tried the cappuccino, mocha, vanilla latte macchiato, and caffe' americano which ALL were so delicious!!! Can't wait to try all the other varities. the more fancy drinks are disappointing so its best to stick to the regular coffees, ie, Coffee Lungo and americano. the chochachino is very nice but is not a coffee.

Machine worked fine at first but live in a hard water area so really important to use filtered water to avoid scaling up. Found some supermarkets were quite restrictive with which pods you could purchase so eventually ordered in bulk on line to get what I wanted. Just after the one year guarantee was up the machine broke completely, it had sheared some of the plastic casing around where the pods go. Terminal. Will not replace because I'm very disappointed with it's durability and pod price.... (read more)

I have the new Circolo machine, amazingly compact machine and less bulky than the other models. Very futuristic looking too. easy to use and qucikly makes coffee. Only PROBLEM the milk tastes powder or should i say the coffee tastes watery. i think its the pods that make it so. I used my own milk and their coffee pod and the taste was amazing. I'm really satisfied with the Dolce Gusto machine. It's a relief to no longer heat milk in the microwave. The milk-cups are so convenient! In the morning I'm always longing for a lovely cup of coffee, but I don't always have the time. With the Dolce Gusto I just have to press the button and it's ready. Making a cup of coffee takes only a few seconds now! And the quality is great! The coffee is nice and strong and milk is creamy. (read more)

I like everything about the whole concept - except the very poor quality of the machine. The first Krups Dolce Gusto KP200040 failed after a couple of weeks. Argos replaced it no problem. A year later it started to leak badly - the whole worktop would be covered in water. We scrapped it. Then Makro had a great offer and we bought our third machine for £64.99. Just had this Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto bought us for a anniversary present - absolutely love the ease of use and sturdy build quality and above all the coffee which actually tastes as good as costa and starbucks - top quality with decent drinks gets the thumbs up from me- plus if you register online when you buy it you get another 16 drinks free (just remember to ask for the voucher which you redeem at the local supermarket because you then don't have to pay P&P). you are not unlucky - I have had several similar instances with my machines - usually they need descaling and the nozzle pricking out to get them going again. My biggest problem is that they start to leak liquid out around the capsule, I have now had three of these machines all doing the same thing. Now I have one that is leaking from the water tank.
Not my best buy - I usually manage to keep electrical goods well into their teens and these have all started to play up within 6 months of use including the one I trialed for Krups.
