Makes a great cup of coffee but the steam unit has failed on a regular basis since purchase. Everything else works fine. Spent £180 less than six months ago and back to square one. The auto concept is great but they are high maintenance. I would forgive that if it was reliable. Delighted we kept the old filter machine which is now pressed back into service. I normally check reviews before I buy. I didn't this time and regret it. Problem is , how do you go back to so so coffee???

Bought this coffee machine over a year ago, it was fine to start with but then electrical problems started, we sent it back to (then) Gaggia at £100+vat, it took over a month for it to be returned with even more problems, on phoning them advised to send it back AND PAY AGAIN! Have given up with it now and certainly would not recommend it to anyone....stay clear of Gaggia.

Just to Say Gaggia have not gone bust. The UK distributers trading as Gaggia/UK however have gone bust. The Gaggia company itself has been bought out by Phillips as of September 2009. Hopefully Phillips will find new UK distributers soon and will not try to change the Gaggia brand too much. As for Auto machines in general. You will never get as good a cup with an auto as you will with a manual machine. Good coffee is an art so go for a Gaggia Classic or simular. Use Youtube for tips and you will ...

Gaggia have now gone bust. Not surprised! Had this Titanium machine for just over two years. Coffee grinder is great and it makes wonderful coffee.
Unfortunately, these machines are completely unreliable. Read other reviews closely and you will find this out.
I called Phillips who now manage the servicing for Gaggia. They want to charge £125 to collect the unit, service it and repair one part. Any more than that will incur extra cost. I can get my £23,000 car serviced for that price ...

Gaggia Titanium Espresso Machine is ok when working. Mine has been back 3 times for repairs. Gaggia uk are frustrating as they always try to charge when machine fails even if still under warranty. The girl who answers the phone at head office is laughable... totally useless. Good for a laugh though. Told me not to let my children touch any buttons once! Asked 6 months ago if i could get it serviced, she said NO too busy sorry. "OK can i book it in then i said. No sorry it will be ages. Great cus ...
