Good Points: No
Bad Points: The fact it was made
General comments: Ok so maybe my beginning made you think that I'm being a little harsh. I'm not. Maybe you think I'm being reactive and exaggerating the case of it being absolute rubbish. I'm not. Maybe you think that I just have no sense of humour, at least for this type of film. But I don't think that's the case either. I liked scary movie/2. I admit though that after number two I've hated all the (X) Movie films. Epic movie I'm afraid to say is without a doubt the absolute worst film I have ever seen. I am not joking right now I'm trying to think of a film I've enjoyed less and I literally can't. I didn't laugh once during the film and I'm not one of those people who doesn't laugh. I managed to laugh a few times during Big Nothing.
The problem with this type of film is that it's degenerated from a reasonable mickey take of certain types of films into a poor Dead Ringers rip off. Scary Movie took parts of different films and put them into one story line. Whereas Epic Movie had no story, just a number of sketches all of which had absolutely no funny jokes. The problem with each individual sketch is that they thought it was enough to have a children's film being turned into a sub carry on type of joke. For instance having the character representing peter saying "Ghetto ass". I'm afraid I'm not going to give any actors names in this review because it's just not worth it. That's how bad the film is. In fact if I didn't want to you 80 minutes of your life by giving reasonable reasons for you to not see it my review would be this.
No. Just No.

You really need a wacky sense of humour to enjoy this film! It is Certificate 12a so younger children can see it if accompanied by an adult. There is an f word in it.
If you liked the Scary Movie films then you will love this one. And any kid from 6 to 26 who has seen Harry Potter, Narnia and Pirates of the Carribean will love the way this film takes the proverbial out of them!
You may find it a little too corny. My son Ricky aged eight thought it was brilliant. It does have a childish sense ...- Read Helen of Troy's review (144 words and 1 comment)
