    Good Points: Rock-solid design.Reliable.Can handle high volume pressure.

    Bad Points: Sounds lifeless and sterile.

    General comments: The microphone is good for recording instruments and for clean vocals. For extreme vocals, or more traditional metal vocals the microphone is unsuitable - you will end up sounding flat and lifeless. The vocals loose the punch and strength.

    The Sennheiser E845 has received acclaim from music makers for vocals and even as a snare mic. Only problem appears to be slight bleeding in sound in loud areas. Otherwise it would be 10 out of 10.
