    Good Points: Great speed, great clarity, great performance


    Bad Points: I cant take my hands of it


    General comments: The Apple Imac G5 Dual Core Duo 2 Desktop is an extremely beautiful desktop. Sleek and slender, I recently purchased mine (24 inch) which sits elegantly by my window and is already a source of immense inspiration to me.The iMac has a comfortable height of 20.5 inches, 22.4 inches width and weighs about 11 kgs. My iMac has a 2.93GHz processor and I opted for a 1TB 7200-rpm SATA hard drive, since I plan to store tons of my work on it. The iMac is great from a graphic designer ' s point of view as it has ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory SDRAM. The glossy widescreen TFT active-matrix LCD monitor offers fantastic clarity. I love listening to music while I work and the iMac rates excellent. It has built-in stereo speakers, internal 24-watt digital amplifiers, headphones, audio line in and a built-in microphone. Ever since I ' ve brought home the iMac I just can ' t seem to get enough of the experience, the quality of my work has also improved and I now have a feeling of accomplishment each time I finish an assignment.I also tried playing some games on it like Operation Flashpoint 2, Fear, Modern Warfare 2, Rage, CoD4, and Doom 4, and just couldn ' t stop as the iMac has that capacity to draw you into it.Although the machine may seem a wee bit expensive, it still delivers value for money. It is a great machine for people like me who are graphic designers and work with heavy and multiple software ' s at the same time. Another important point is that I was tired of all those ugly black wires sticking out of my PC and forever coming loose. The iMac is such a neat design, it stands out and attracts the attention of all visitors to my place.In the process of buying the iMac I also learnt a few of its other advantages, for example it is designed to reduce its impact on the environment. It has arsenic-free display glass, it is BFR-free, PVC-free, its glass enclosures are made from highly recyclable aluminum and it meets ENERGY STAR 5.0 requirements. It is also rated EPEAT Gold, so the iMac seems like the ideal machine for the environmentally sensitive person too.

    Our son, who has several Apple products, bought us the Imac G5 last Christmas. It is the best present we have ever had.
    We soon got used to the Apple desktop, and operating system. We use it for a few hours every day for editing film, photos, music and searching the net.
    We would never ever go back to a PC which was always crashing and getting viruses.
