Waited 3 months for my theoben evolution thumbhole to be delivered. Arrived with damage to the walnut stock. Automatic safety catch didn't work - causing an accidental discharge. Theoben sent out a damaged and dangerous gun. They are difficult people to deal with and I shan't bother them anymore. Must be something to do with them being over there in the fens!lol!:) Take my advice - don't get involved with Theoben, they have zero idea about customer care and I'm surprised they continue to exist in business. They have a 'couldn't care a less' attitude and deserve to all be unemployed, in my opinion, based on my personal experiences.

A premium rifle at a premium cost. Shoots very smoothly and is extremely accurate. I use the rifle for rabbit control on the farm and it is an excellent tool - simple, easy to maintain and extremely effective using an MTC Viper scope 4-16 x 50mm.Best UK 12ft/lb air rifle I've ever used.

With a 6-20 x 50 scope this gun shoots like a dream, virtually single hole groups at 10m, and at 30m 1.5 inch groups.
The .177 is much more forgiving than the .22 in terms of accuracy and would thoroughly recommend this rifle for bird control, although the .22 is first choice for rats.
Unlike the .22 version which i reviewed last year the stock was in perfect order (once bitten twice shy) the pigeon population in my area is already on the decline thanks to this rifle
