    Good Points: High speed broadband "when it works"No speed limits "until you are limited by fair use policy" as far as I am concerned.

    General comments: Unreliable service for me personally, broadband speed is regularly restricted and not just down to the stated speed for the fair use policy (i.e less than 1mb on 4mb connection", unhelpful staff and maintenance in my opinion, The service centre and customer services have not yet replied to my messages as far as I am aware. Therefore I do not recommend Virgin Media.

    We signed up to Virgin Media after they told us they could provide their service in the area where we were moving. They sent an engineer who couldn't find the NTL point he needed, because it wasn't there, as I had told the first person who signed me up and who assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I spent an hour and a half on the phone talking to various people in various countries, all of them unhelpful in my opinon, to try and sort this out. Extremely stressful for me personally.     When they say unlimited I will no longer believe it, they cut your speed in my case from 2mg to 70 kbs from 4pm to 12 am, the worst broadband provider I have so far personally experienced I do not recommend them as in my experience I have nothing positive to say about them.

    Telewest was awesome Virgin media regardless of the name or if they took over or what happened has and is committing corporate suicide.Were paying for a 20mbit line were not getting anywhere near as far as I am concerned.Then they are rolling out 50mb when the entire country cant even get 20How does this work?     Customer service were unhelpful. I had to do all the running about to try and sort it out as far as I am concerned. Took me about 4 months before they admitted it was there fault in my opinion. Not replied to my letters I sent as far as I am aware yet. Never get back to you when they say they will. Soon as my contract finishes I'm off elsewhere - I do not recommend Virgin Media.

    Unhelpful customer service, the web complaint form takes and age to fill in. Once I had submitted my complaint, they refused to answer my complaint and told me to call a premium rate telephone number. Very slow internet speed due to their traffic managing makes sites such as youtube unusable as far as I am concerned. Therefore I do not recommend Virgin Media internet providers. Can't wait until I move house and I can be rid of this broadband internet, once and for all.

    Not only have I had 1 days' service in 4 months, but phone calls today alone have cost £50.00 as far as I am concerned, not to mention what they cost on other days. I still don't even have an offer of an engineer to come round and fix it. No-one on planet earth behaves like this these days as far as I am concerned therefore I do not recommend Virgin Media.

    I do not recommend Virgin Media. I have used four isps and Virgin.com have been the worst I personally have experienced, in my opinion by a mile. The fundamental problem is that they are too popular as far as I am concerned. Why should that matter? Because there is a key specification that no isp likes to highlight and that is your contention ratio.     Virgin Media are the worst ISP I have personally ever used.In the good old days of Telewest I had fantastic speeds and 24/7 internet.Now I rarely get 2Mbps off an "up to" 8Mbps account.To make matters worse Virgin have introduced limits, yet they are still allowed to use the word "unlimited".If you download more than 5 GB in peak times you lose your internet almost completely and have to suffer with just 80kbps for a whole week!They're helpline is not worth the money in my opinion and waste of t ...

    First off, Virgin media is not Virgin owned as far as I am aware? Google etc and you will find NTL brought the brand virgin name for millions. So what they did is buy a well known brand name to gain a larger customer base under the brand name of virgin, then brought in throttling as such maybe because new custom was slowing things down as far as I am aware?     When it was Comcast/NTL I was quite happy, reasonable costs and I had quite good "Customer Service", now it is "VirginMedia" I am just waiting for my "Contract to expire" to get as far away from them as possible, and if you should let someone "make changes" to your account they wont tell you that you have just committed to at least another 12 months in my opinion and experience. I do not recommend Virgin Media.

    I do not recommend Virgin Media due their email, phone service and billing as I have had a bad experience with them. Internet has deteriorated. I got 4mb connection at peak I get less than 1 mb as far as I am concerned. Sometimes I get less than .1 mb yes thats point 1 I've had 3 engineers round saying they don't understand why?     Speed is inconsistent in my experience. Technical Support is on average poor with the agents support getting less and less as management demand higher througout of calls rather than fixing of problems in my opinion. This service is fine as long as you do not have a problem. Virgin Media is interested in profit before the happiness of customers and staff - which is a self defeating stance as far as I am concerned therefore I do not recommend this internet broadband.

    In my opinion it doesn't matter where my call lands up if it is india or uk what matters is if I don't have help and I need help for it to get back on line!     I feel the package structures are a nightmare, new customers get better deals than existing ones in my opinion, I phone them regularly and complain about how much I am being charged and they always reduce the price and change the package to the cheaper one!     Want help or to ask what is going on.. it'll cost you 25p a minute. Disgraceful. When it's bad, you can't get on to Hotmail, ebay... want to bid for something?... I have to forget it... it's now happening several times a day. Try to get access by rebooting your computer and what happens.... slower... after several frustrating minutes you get 'page unavailable '. I do not recommend www.virginmedia.com.

    Virgin Broadband is slow to respond, I do not recommend Virgin Media, I have not had one good thing to say about this broadband internet provider. I have received unhelpful support from customer services, slow download speeds, and cant find any help to sort things out and by the looks of reviews everyone is experiencing the same problems, looks like its hopeless.

    After deciding to leave virgin for sky's better value for money deal (3 for £16) I was astounded on how hard it was to get out of my virgin media "contract." Call after call followed excuse after excuse and I urge people to seriously think about their deals with virgin.

    I've recently left virgin media for another provider: they're cheaper, quicker and more helpful. Unfortunately, virgin have botched up the switch and are now hassling me for arrears on an account they claim is still active. Advice anybody?

    I had enough of Virgin Media last year and left. As far as I am aware they have now issued a writ for an outstanding balance which they do not detail. When asked they have not yet replied. I would not touch this lot with a elongated barge pole. I will defend any action and it should be fun! Do not recommend Virgin Broadband.
