Good Points: Laser printer, works on Unix/Linux/Windows, works with not original drivers, great text quality
Bad Points: Image printing quality
General comments: I needed solution for one printer for multiple operating systems and low price.
I checked market and found that Lexmark gives laser printer with 16M RAM and 200MHS processor and supports other operating systems than Windows in much lower prices than competitors.
The main usage of this printer is for text, so quality and about 20ppm are great.
This device already printed about 1500 pages on a single toner that I still did not change and it still does.
Printer has USB and LPT connections, drivers for MAC, Linux and Windows.
It supports PCL (emulation) so it can be used with a wide range of drivers.
I print from this printer with Fedora Core 5 Linux, and Solaris 10 (with CUPS).
High performance, low price, good quality and support of various of operating systems make this printer to lead this category.
I recommend this printer for small offices and for personal use where most of demand is black and write text.
