“Customer Service Fail. ”

Written on: 16/06/2012 by SarahW_1975 (4 reviews written)

I've used TMobile for years now, but not because I think they are amazing, I just think the competition are awful. Recently, on wanting to change contract and keep phone number, I was told I couldn't do this, even though I know I can. On asking to cancel contract, I was then given 1 million and 1 different offers. All in all, the experience was awful due to ill-educated (non-native English speakers) trying to answer my questions, unsuccessfully. Guys, with your online chat - stop... (read more)

Pathetic, simple pathetic is all I can say about this provider, I too had the shop assistant do a check for coverage, High for my area, I am lucky to get 1 bar coverage, looses connection too many times to count, slow load rate, cuts off during important times, Buying online, sending e mails etc. I now use my Blackberry internet rather than my Web n Walk as its faster and better signal connection. I have twice been back to the store I brough from, first I was told it was a glitch and would... (read more)

We have used the web n walk for over a year now. As we live in a rural village, we can't get broadband so thought this would be the best option. Before signing the two year contract the assistant in the shop checked for coverage (which we were told was excellent). Most of the time, it is a complete waste of time and is much slower than when we had dial up. Sometimes the download speed can be as low as 5kb per second!! (unless we get up and use it at 7am on a sunday!) As we signed a two... (read more)

With a 5bar hspa receptions, disconnects up to 50 times a day, when I did a speedtest I got 7kbps (9 times slower than an old 56k modem). I've tried it with different modems, phones and pcs and it didn't work anywhere I've tried it in south Wales. It worked up till march but congestion has killed the network around here. I'm paying for this T-Mobile Web 'n' Walk for another year and had to pay BT to install a line for proper internet. Its over 1000 times slower than advertised in my experience! (read more)

If you do a search for "t-mobile, web n walk, help, problems" on google, after the first few pages you'll see a lot of other people are having the same issue.

Due to this, I can only stress again for people to please ignore my earlier review, as the product is now reasonably appalling. (read more)

Written on: 04/03/2008 by albanygreen

I work from home and I was assured that this unit would be as fast as conventional broadband, but I beg to differ. I am experiencing unpredictability with connecting, sometimes I have to attempt connection several times, which is very frustrating, the speeds are slow so when reading pdf files it is very tedious and painful... I am trying to cancel my contract, not happy with it.. I was told by my provider that they hope to increase the speed from April, I have had my unit from October, no... (read more)

Written on: 24/02/2008 by Capt Cluster

My experience of T-Mobile's web and walk has been very disappointing. I live on the south east edge of Oxford which is shown on T-Mobiles coverage map as good as it gets. My post code was cleared as having good reception giving over 3gig download but the reality is between 30kb and 100kb with periods of not being able to connect at all. I have constantly complained and have run through diagnostics with technical assistance and the last resort offered to me is to post in the USB modem for... (read more)

I've got to say I'm really impressed with the T-Mobile Web 'n' Walk modem. I'd had problems getting cable broadband installed because I lived on the third floor of a building, and had no BT landline, so this was the perfect solution to me.

It plugs straight in to your USB port, installs the software and devices instantly, and you're ready to go online straight away - I've never seen a simpler way of getting broadband. I've had absolutely no problems with it at all, and have to say I'm... (read more)
