This Mackie HR824 speaker generally delivers as claimed with ruler-flat frequency response and excellent detail but I had to supplement it with a subwoofer to get the bass I wanted. The high degree of detail make it great for mixing, but for listening to music just for fun the sound is bland and needs some EQ. This speaker is serious gear for serious studio work.
