    Good Points: The staff were helpful and friendly. The cabin was clean and well maintained


    Bad Points: The captain failed to tell us that the Volcano had stopped erupting therefore we sat on the balcony for ages looking for the promised lava flow outlined in the itinerary. The cabin steward told us which side of the ship the island was on but failed to mention that you could no longer see it.


    General comments: Overall we had a very good experience on the ship. The latitudes check in went smoothly and our luggage was delivered promptly to our cabin. Our balcony cabin was clean on our arrival and and throughout the trip. The staff were friendly and helpful doing everything they could to make sure that we were happy. We took the ship tours at most ports and with the exception of one found them to be interesting and well worth the money. The smooth disembarkation with our luggage taken straight to the airport and checked in for us, while we had a tour of the island was also welcome.

    If you have choice, go for other provider also just for inter island transportation there is a Hawaii Super Ferry.
    They says its free style but its not free style when it comes to restarunts dress code.
    They promise certain type of food on request, but when you go for dinner they have one or other excuses for not to provide food.
    Handling of luggage while boarding the ship as well as leaving the ship is worst.
    Entertaiment on board is for old people.

    I would encourage anybody to take a cruise aboard this ship. I feel we really got our moneys worth. I am very saddened that the Pride of Hawaii will be leaving to go to Europe in Feb. 2008. I was really looking forward to scheduling another cruise on this ship. I hope anybody that reads this review will take me seriously, you will not regret the experience.

    The staff were sullen and unhelpful. They only cheered up when they could get off the ship. The food was not as good as NCL International. Our cabin was dirty. All in all, a very disappointing experience. The Hawaiian Islands were amazing but the whole holiday was ruined by the staff. I would not recommend NCL America to anyone. NCL International are amazing though, service, food etc. are 100%. So disappointed.
