Good Points: Lovely leather seats. Very nice crew. Transaero is a Russian airline but the entire crew spoke very good English and were extremely polite and helpful. I sat next to a guy who kept on falling asleep and resting his head on my shoulder! When the air hostess noticed it, she asked me if I wanted to move seats. Very nice food, especially their chocolate cake. They offered soft drinks and spirits any time throughout the flight.

Bad Points: The flight was delayed by about 45 minutes but it was due to some issues at Gatwick. Most of their planes don't have any TV!

General comments: I would definitely fly with Transaero again, I've flown with them 5 times in the past. They offer really good customer service on their planes. However, I have never had to deal with their ground customer services team, so I cannot comment on that. If you decide to travel to Russia, beware of their Domodedovo Airport customs! You have to find someone to let you through the gates. People at the airport, both employees and passengers, do not smile. Ever! If you have a transit flight via Domodedovo, make sure you demand someone to serve you! My name was being called out on the speakers for late check in but despite my pleas to be served before other passengers, they made me wait in the queue. I was the only transit passenger and everyone else had hours before their flights. The flights to Kazakhstan from Moscow are always on time. If you go to Kazakhstan, very doubtful since most people here have never even heard of it, go to Almaty the former capital. It is absolutely gorgeous! The city is surrounded by beautiful snow mountains and lakes with crystal clear waters. The Kazakh people are very friendly and most of them speak good English. It is a very well developed city and if you do go there, you will enjoy your holiday immensely.
