“isis holiday nightmare”

written by on 23/09/2012

i didn't like any of it ,we had to clear our own tables at breakfast and dinner.the hotel room was damp and mold everywhere in the bathroom we booked 1st class and got 2nd class .the sheets were not changed at all the rooms towels were not changed and they were merely folded and made to look like they had .the food was passable some days and only improved when inspectors arrived the list goes on .i will need another couple of days to write it all .it would have been nice to know that the hotel was only 3star and not being sold as 5 star in the brochure

anybody who thinks this is a good hotel obviously do not have very high expectations .rooms are set in prison block with tiny balcony and trees overhanging . pool crowded and cloudy. Sea ok but loungers dirty well used . food ok and we had a friendly waiter. thomson rep very very busy due to all the complaints , travel brochure very misleading !!!!!! would never recommend this hotel to anyone .....

“AMAZING HOLIDAY, Before i visited Isis Hotel and Spa i...”

★★★★★

written by BethanyThanks on 19/04/2009

AMAZING HOLIDAY, Before i visited Isis Hotel and Spa i was so worried because i read all of the reviews before hand and most of them were bad. I feel that most of them weren't as honest as they could of been and our view is completely different and we now know not to trust what we read because we had a FABULOUS time. We met some lovely people there visitors and staff. They were absolutely brillant with the kids (Animation team) At the night the mini disco was fab, i was even up there dancing away loved it! Throughout the day, we sat by the pool (Very child friendly) listening to the relaxing music there was alot of room around the pool and generally very quiet. The beach was really good for the older kids and adults because there was a pier that you could jump off straight into the sea, the beach is only very small but i think its because the main beach is placed on another island. There was a local water sports centre that you could go on every day. The pedelo and kunoo were free whereas the water rides you had to pay for, but they were so worth it we went on the great marble, the ringos and the almost waltz like one. You were placed in your little float thing (all different) and stook on the end of the speed boat and were pulled along and you were also allowed inside the speed boat to do any filming you wanted. Throughly enjoyed this!
The food was AMAZING, i thank the cooks so much i was hooked on mostly cakes throughout the holiday. Breakfast was really nice offering a wide variety from toasties to croissants. At lunch there was everything from rice to BEAUTFULLY cooked meat (The best meat i've ever tried) everyday was different. They cooked pasta for you right in front of your eyes, with whatever flavour you wanted. I had this most nights as well as the family. Very hygienic, waiters were very nice and listened and brought everything you required. We were very demanding as well with all our drinks but we didnt hear a complaint! Games were played throughout the day darts, water volley ball, football, basketball, ECT.. Every night shows were performed, very enjoyable Misses Isis, Men V Women, Mr Isis, Mr and mrs (Couple) After Mini Disco every night for the kids.
As a family of five, our room was very huge (extended) and the beds were amazingly comfy, we all had a king size bed each apart from the my youngest child shared with either one of us. The Bathroom is fine, wouldn't say anything wrong with it. One bad point is the carpet but wouldnt say that paticullary mattered from the all round GREAT time I had. Regular housekeeping and room service, very clean and good!
We visited Hotel Isis and Spa through-out the Easter holidays not during the summer. We felt this was the best time to go because it was very quiet and relaxing because there was always space in the restaurants, enough room around the pool and AMAZING!
I thank all the Animation team at Hotel Isis and Spa, the cooks, housekeeping team and everyone else that made our stay so very special!

“To give anything below 10/10 would be wrong! ”

★★★★★

written by on 06/09/2008

To give anything below 10/10 would be wrong!
The location of the hotel is perfect - far enough out of the town to be quiet yet easily accessible for shopping or a late late night club (0400 ish!)
Food is very good plentiful and if you like salads you will be in your element with so many different tastes to wake up your taste buds! There is always a variety of hot and cold meat and / or fish dishes and many others to compliment the salads along with soups, cold meats and an abundance of sweets (but remember you are in Turkey and they are VERY SWEET in deed!!) There are also 5 theme restaurants - Fish, Turkish, Italian, Chineese and Suchi - But remember you do have to book on the morning that you want to eat in one of them and you need to book by 0800 or your choice will be limited, but they are well worth it. Some people may say that the service in these restaurants is slow? I think it is relaxed and ideal for your holiday - Why Rush??
The pool is big clean and safe although there are no life guards around, but you will have to get a towel on your sun bed by 0730 / 0800 if you want to be sure in getting one? The beach is small but clean and the Aegean Sea is clear and clean and full of fish swimming around your feet! There is a good selection of water sports available although these will cost you extra and can be quite expensive (£50 paragliding) but they are all good fun!
There are plenty of bars around the hotel (some you have to search for but worth finding) were you are able to drink really whatever you want in you 'all inclusive' package. There is a night club / disco in side the hotel main building which is air conditioned and is really good but is very rarely busy and there is a out door night club (Blue & White Bar) which is by the pool area which is more popular but still not really busy (drinks and entrance charge for this one)
The rooms vary in size and standard and without doubt the rooms in the hotel main building are bigger and better than those in the 'Club' or outside villa type buildings but they are all comfortable and are cleaned every day if you so wish. You just flick a switch which informs the cleaners of your wishes!
The staff in all areas could not be more friendly or helpful and the just want you to have a good holiday and enjoy (Metin, Rio, Inis to name just three). The entertainment / animation team work from morning till night (day off Sunday's) and create a great and fun environment but without being too pushy, and they love the children and really do make their holiday. At night (2230hrs) they create a different stage show each night and is also very good.
There are a number of shops within the hotel for your emergencies, but they are quite expensive. There is also a doctor in house
All in all and great place to take your family whatever there age, although please appreciate that the hotel is built on the side of a hill so were ever you go there are steps and in some cased steep hills to climb?
The people who have written bad reports on this hotel have either been very unlucky or enjoy moaning!!
Remember you are going to Turkey - don't expect English Fish & Chips' and Banks's Mild. Be prepared for very hot weather (39 to 44 degree's at the end of August). Go there in the holiday mode and you will all have a 'Great Time'.
We certainly did and will without doubt return

“It is definitely not a 5 star hotel!! Not even a 3...”

It is definitely not a 5 star hotel!! Not even a 3 star!!! Cheap furniture, in bad condition. Baths having visible inperfections in walls and plumbing. Dirty glasses in bath and room. Cleaners made the beds, but didn't changed the sheets. When we arrived, we found a half-filled [used] bottle of water in the mini-bar. Room full of mosquitos. We had a connecting room, although we didn't ask for it, which was very noisy. The central restaurant was huge, noisy. Waiters did not even wait for people to finish eating before cleaning up. Staff inpolite, unfriendly. There were 4 restaurants a la carte, but it was impossible to make a reservation. Everything was already booked by 8 in the morning. Dirty chaises -longues at the beach, which was extremely small. The central cafe lounge had dirty sofas and tables. The water in the in the pool was cold. The fitness center was actually a small corner place in the spa, with poor equipment. This whole all-inclusive thing was more like having holidays in a prison-camp. That's why we had booked 5 nights and stayed only 2. Low quality services. Tourism for the masses.

“This holiday was the best. The Isis Hotel has great...”

★★★★★

written by sahi on 05/02/2007

This holiday was the best. The Isis Hotel has great surroundings and friendly staff. I don't understand why people dislike it? The pool and beach area was great, they always have activities going on. I loved it there, there was always something to do, for example water gym, water polo, spa. The spa was amazing, with the steam room and showers, pool, gym and much more free. I would highly recommend you have a Turkish bath in the hotels spa, it's fabulous for your skin. There is a water sports center at the far end of the private beach, which really is fun. All motorised sports were to be payed for but were cheap, pedalos and canoes were free and lots of fun.
Oh and there was this really random guy who took pictures of you while enjoying your holidays. He took lots of me and then I ordered them, he gives you great prices for them and they are great to take home! The food was excellent, 5 star, there are loads of salads etc. with themed nights once a week, for example Italian night. Diet buffets were there and plenty of tasty Turkish food, or you could order burger and chips at the pool bar. You could also go to the Italian a la Carte restaurant or fish restaurant. You have to make a reservation but its still free!
Overall a wicked holiday and perfect for anybody.
