Bad Points: Slim so fits in pockets easily. Bigger screen. Some texting options are better, some worse. I found the number buttons to be too small on the Nokia 6300 and my hand gets cramped when I text. Photo quality is bad in my opinion as i don't believe it has taken a good picture yet. Battery life is short, short, short. Phone is slim, but feels quite heavy. Like the feature of most used names for texting but you can't get to them quickly by typing in first letter of their name (silly). No games on it (you have to download anything you want to play). But then, you wouldn't really want to play any games on it as the battery wouldn't last long enough! Personalisation of the phone is very limited and it stores your pictures in the oddest places.

General comments: Have used Nokia for years & generally feel they are pretty good value. This phone disappointed me from the start though. It's ok overall, but not sure it's a huge improvement on the last 6300. Don't think the design of it was particularly thoughtful. Am now very tempted to go with the iPhone as it looks so much easier (and more fun) to use.

It felt substantial yet sleek It isn't robust... it's too 'boutique' and didn't last me beyond a week - hence where I've given '5' it's because I can only be fair since I didn't get to know it before the screen broke in my pocket & it went to the charity recycling folk... Do not recommend the Nokia 6300.

Light weight, slim, easy to go in pocket. Reliable and robust (been dropped a few times). Light weight, slim, easy to go in pocket. Reliable and robust (been dropped a few times) .Excellent overall. Current time owned 15 months and see no reason to upgrade purely for cosmetic reasons. It does what a phone's supposed to do - what more do you want?

The Nokia 6300 is still a very popular contendor in the mid-range mobile phone market, although it's almost two years old. It's immense popularity is what made me buy it. The phone itself looks incredible. It's very stylish and beautiful - very classy and suitable if you want to do a bit of showing-off. The sleek 'Nokia' logos are great finishing touches. Start-up time is okay. After the tidy Nokia welcome opening theme (featuring the "connecting hands" trademark), whether you skip the welcome ...

Good phone in general I've had 2 as business phones, S40 software is robust but not a match for the S60 OS found in the N-Series phones. For a Nokia the phone is very stylish and slim. 2MP camera produces excellent pictures outside but struggles in poor light without a flash. Some of the menu buttons are a bit small and the silver D-Pad is a bit narrow. The actual phone buttons are of a good size and are responsive. Battery life is a bit poor and degrades quickly as the phone gets older. Screen ...

I have had this phone two years now and I am still delighted with it. It has been perfectly reliable, the screen has proved robust and actually this whole phone feels well made, tough and easy to use. I would definately recommend it as it has pretty much all the features you need. Maybe newer versions could add better size jacks, GPS, larger microSd capability and a much much better battery life.

I find the Nokia 6300 good in terms of design and styling. However, I also feel it can be delicate, slow.

The Nokia 6300 is a excellent all round phone. If you need to make calls ,listen to music and the radio or take the odd photo or play games this is the one for you. Everything you need is on this phone. It even has a sound booster to block out disturbances. Bluetooth, mp3 player, radio, camera, expandable upto 2GB memory card, there is nothing else a standard user desires and that is what makes this phone a good buy. It may not have all that you want, but it does have what you need. ...

The Nokia 6300 battery is pretty bad on this phone, have to charge it every second day. The phone will randomly restart itself and takes ages for the memory to start back up. Also I can no longer use the phone as when I go into the inbox it says operation timed out. I have a few new messages in there and cant read them. Once again disappointed with nokia... but what can I expect from a batch made phone!

When I bought Nokia 6300 phone last year I loved it..! I compared the images that I took on it to other manufacturers 2MP cameras, and the 6300 was far superior! The battery life really ruined this phone. Come on nokia, will you ever learn that battery life is very very important. The main reason I loved this phone is because of the texting ability. Its great to text with =] Also the music player was great, very stylish. The speaker is very loud and the music quality is crystal clear. This phon ...

Seriously annoyed with Carphone Warehouse for selling me this phone when I was buying a hands free kit at the same time and they knew I used voice dialling consistently.

You people at Nokia need to wake up, we pay good money for Nokia phones yet they are not to standard. 1. The battery life is terrible. A fully charged battery lasts for 1 day when using web based applications> GPRS 2. The keypad was designed for small people with small fingers. Keypad is flat and doesn't allow sufficient grooving/spacing in between. This is irritable when typing messages. 3. The navigation key should have been smaller allowing the end(red) and answer (green) key to be bigger. Go ...

I've been given the Nokia 6300 as an upgrade from the Nokia 6320i and I'm really disappointed. Funnily enough I actually use this as a phone for business, a point that has been overlooked by Nokia in their attempt to make it appeal to texters and those that take meaningless pictures all the time. The most annoying thing about the 6300 is the voice dialling which worked perfectly well on my original Nokia using my own voice to confirm the name. On the 6300 every contact is automatically given ...

Nokia 6300 is a great phone, its slim n slender shape is just great. Its camera is great too. Over all its a highly recommendable phone. The only flaws are the low battery life and its inability to support opera mini versions. If anyone has any idea how to work out opera mini on the nokia 6300, please do help

Having had Sony Ericssons and Samsungs previously I read reviews about the Nokia 6300 when time came to upgrade and they all seemed pretty positive. Well I'm sorry, i don't agree. The battery life doesn't compare with my old SE 810i even when it was a year old! The phone memory isn't big enough to hold much more than 20 SMS (which means incoming messages are held up if you don't have space in your phone memory to receive them) I don't find the music player particularly user friendly compared ...

I've had the Nokia 6300 phone for 2 months and am now having to charge the battery every other day. I'm only talking for a maximum of 20 minutes a day and sending a few text messages. Am considering selling it on ebay and buying a Sony Ericsson.

The thing people have commented on most with this phone is the design, at first sight friends think it is an open slide phone, and you can see why. The stainless steel finish is very nice, and this phone feels extremely solid and well made, though thin & light. Battery life isn't great, though better than a lot of other large-screen mobiles I've used. The camera suffers from lack of a flash indoors, night mode just doesn't cut it, though in good light photos do come out well. The lack of exp ...
