Good Points: Great maps. Lush enviroments. Intense firefights. Vast array of vehicles (Jets, tanks, buggys, boats, bikes, helicopters, etc.)
Bad Points: Not so good AI. Bots can't hear you come up behind them with a TANK!!!
General comments: Battlefield Vietnam is a war simulation first person shooter set in the Vietnamese war. Experience the intesity of fighting in the jungles trying to discover the Ho chi min Trail to battling for the Mekong Delta.
The AI is OK but isn't up to Call of Duty standards by a longshot. Although the enemy will creep up on you rarely which the vietcong would do in reality in the war. Teamates are prone to leaping to the floor when under fire. But most of the time either stand still for ages or charge blindly into a pitched battle.
But the AI does change during when teamates go inside choppers and planes etc. They will parachute out behind enemy lines and jets will napalm the enemy HQ burning the occupants and anything which has two legs :)
The real game starts when you play online against totally different people playing as the us, south vietnam or the Vietcong in highly fun battles.
Overall Battlefield Vietnam Is great game with good firefights and great enviroments and maps.
Although the AI can be a turn off.

I got Battlefield Vietnam and I think it's brilliant. Definite improvement on BF1942 in most aspects but still lacks the real AI, although this has been improved a bit. I love the large maps and weapons. The ability to listen to your own music enhances the fun! Good value for money!
