    Good Points: Very basic gameplay
    Quick assembly

Bad Points: None really. It can initially be a bit scary, and if you place your eye over the top of the pirates head whilst the game is in progress, then you could pick up an injury to your eye.

General comments: Shiver me timbers! Is it really more than 30 years since Pop-up Pirate was created? The game basically revolves around placing plastic coloured swords into available slots on a barrel. Ahar me harties! I'll let you in on a little secret, a random slot will act as a trigger ejecting the pirate from his fixing within the barrel, thus ending the game. The tension certainly mounts as swords are placed into the barrel by each player in turn as the game nears it's spectacular finale. In recent times the game has received a bit of a makeover, whereas a new character has replaced the traditional pirate! The game is available in most reputable toy stores, and it is suitable for children aged 4 and up, priced at about £10.00.
