Emailed in documents explaining that I'm serving in Afghanistan and I've only just purchased the number plate so it is not displayed on my V5 document as of yet. The email I received was rude and stating you have entered into a contract and you have no right to cancel. The contract only appears after you have entered your payment details. I sent in a copy of the email confirmation that I received of DVLA but that was not good enough. Emails started polite then as soon as I asked for a refund... (read more)

I am restoring a BMW R100GS-Paris Dakar motorcycle to a very high standard - powdercoated frame, rebuilt engine, all polished stainless steel fasteners - and I wanted a distinctive and legal rear numberplate. Ordered plates from Demon on 20/12/12 and arrived within 48hrs . This was the only good experience with this outfit . Front and rear plates from different manufactures, rough edges requiring filing down to the front plate and the rear plate suitable only for scrap i.e.,edges so bad they looked like they had been jigsawed.The bottom corners appeared to be hacked in some way making them a danger to hands.Also frontal damage due to careless handling at some stage. This is posted by Demon Plates. Be advised that Demon Plates do not make illegally spaced number plates. Illegally spaced number plates will make the plates illegal for use on the UK HIghway. Demon Plates do make a novelty item that can show a name, nickname, house number, message (no parking) and such. What a terrible experience I had with the number plates i ordered from this this poorly run company. Poor customer service - poor quality product (when they eventually arrived) - overpriced product for what they are - and excessive postage costs. I emailed them with an issue I had on Satureday night (After office hours) and had a personal (Not automated) response to my email apologising for the error on Sunday(!!) stating it would be sorted first thing on Monday.
Sure enough I had an email on Moday morning at 0645 followed by a phone call (at my request) at 0710!
With a replacement plate arriving at my door on the Tuesday!
I couldn't have been more IMPRESSED!
