If you can find one that has been looked after and serviced properly its worth keeping hold of as it will serve you for many miles and put a smile on your face everytime you drive it.

The Toyota corolla GTi-16 is a very fast car, it can beat Ford Cortinas mk5 3.0s and it will beat That v6.

A must have car for for a wannabe racer. Not recommended for crazy folk to drive on the road, a proper track car.

I have had my Toyota Corolla since February this year an its still off the road. I had it out to test the power, and mine is running at 190 bhp on the original 4age engine. Overall it is a lovely car, with good power and well worth a buy. In my opinion you cant really do much to the body only a few small things.

Spent thousands on it & it still isn't finished, blue printed engine, scorpion exhaust, blitz induction, superchipped, black diamond discs, lowered45mm, pushing out 165bhp at the front wheels. I am in the middle of redoing bodywork for respray phoenix orange with a gold pearl, gonna look sweet.

What an awesome car! The Toyota Corolla is one of the fastest cars that I have had even quicker then a single cam civic vtec. And for the money what a bargain, I'm looking to put the 4 AGZE engine conversion in the car which is a 1.6 supercharged engine running at 165 bhp standard! And can be highly modified like the 4 AGE engine. If your looking for a cheap fuel guzzling fast car look no further than the toyota corolla GT-i 16 ae92 model.

I had probably one of the last Corolla GTi-16's registered. It was a K reg. I never saw another K reg one. I was 18 when I bought it and had it 4.5 years. It was a great car and I have fond memories of it. I spent a fortune modifying it. Fastest 1/4 mile I got was 16.3 at santa pod. Not exactly fast but not bad for what it is. I sold my Corolla for £1800 in 2002. I'm not quite sure how, but the picture in the top left is of my car! No idea how it got on here though!

Hard to find good history information and maintenance tips on this car or maybe it's just me. Can't complain with the price, I bought it for 200 euro when they are making ten time that now.

I brought my Toyota Corolla GTi- as a shabby wreck for 250. Spent no more then 500 ,looks and handles like a rocket. Little rust spots on rear arches. Apart from that a good car. GTi-16v ROCKS!!!!!

The Corolla GTi AE92 model is just a class piece of motoring. I have had a stock 4age engine, a 4agze supercharger engine and the 4agte engine (moded myself) and these cars are just a dream machine. Only topped by its older brother the Mighty AE86 RWD Corolla Gti. But it's always better to have a tougher older brother. I have now gone further back in time and rebuilt a 1976 Classic Celica running a Twin Turbo+Boost......Bigger bro!!

I have owned the mark 1 AE82 Corolla GT and unfortunately was too young to appreciate what I had at the time and didn't take very good care of it, if I'd known then what I know now, I would still be enjoying it today. That was the start of my affair with Japanese cars, I have since owned a Mazda MX3 V6 24v and I am currently driving a Honda Saloon Vti, both of which I have had some great fun with especially the Honda. The Vtec can become addictive and you have to have some control or you begin ...

Bought my Toyota Corolla GTi-16 Twin cam 3 years ago in metallic grey at 126 since she covered 162, cars and absolute joy to drive. Drove an A3 1.8 T the other day 150bhp..but not even close to the twinnie for sheer driving experience - no turbo lag here! Expenses in 3 years; replacement radiator, exhaust, leaking oil...minor costs; break lights keep getting knocked out! No problems with car picking up speed 0-60ish very good, not as rapid after. Losing speed is a problem, breaks could de ...

First I have got to say, I am always going to own a twinnie no matter what other car I get. I've had two Toyota Corolla GTi-16 Twin cams so far, my first one was absolutely mint nothing wrong whatsoever, completely standard with 79K FTSH 1 owner. Owned the car for two years not a single problem. Had a mongoose system, blitz filter, power boost valve, Apexi SAFC (super air flow controller) rev limiter was raised to 8,000 with this controller, sound system, DVD payer, tints on a gleaming red. Tops ...

I've owned one of these beauties for around 5 years, of which my Toyota Corolla GTi-16 Twin cam has been off the road numerous times due to body repairs. But I love it and can't part from it. Typical Japanese expense - but worth it. Looks a little dated compared to rivals (Golfs, crxs ect) but with the right mods; simple rims and lowered, it can look sleek and menacing. Plenty of get up and go from standard lump, and loves to be screamed into the high revs. Look carefully for a good one.

I bought 1 of these Toyota Corolla GTi-16 Twin cam cars only 2 days ago on a j plate at 104000 miles (less than average), that had spent most of its life owned by a farmers wife and become acustomed to the slow country life and trips to tesco - until 'I' brought it. I'd heard good reviews of this car on these very pages and you would not have thought such a car could be so quick, if your reading this and have a chance of buying one --- buy it! you'd be suprised.
