Good Points: Build quality TV recording facility
Bad Points: Not a good Mp3 player. User friendliness
General comments: The Archos Gmini 500 MP3 player would be a cracking little gadget, apart from one major flaw. This unit syncronises with Windows Media player 10, therein lies the problem, the two aren't 100% compatible. According to Archos they are! However, I've sat and watched WMP 10 delete 400+ music tracks for no apparent reason. I put the tracks back onto the Archos, but now it won't play any music whatsoever. As for ease of use, don't plan on using it if you've not got a Phd in Electronics, this little gadget is by far the most complicated set up I've ever used, and I'm going back nearly 40 years here!
If you want a good size Mp3 player, I'd suggest the iPod 80gb over the Archos. If you want portable recorded TV go for the Archos.
