Transaction was seamless from start to finish however, your description of what you consider 'faulty' should be clearer from your website. The two 'faults' with mine, which reduced the payout from £50 to £10 felt slightly dubious. You say 'if you'd sell it to a friend, it's likely considered in working order'; I believe this to be misleading. “Problem accepting lower price.”

Overall I would say that the service is very good. The only problem I encountered was when I tried to accept a lower price for a phone I submitted. When I clicked on the second acceptance box, nothing appeared to happen. Even closing the page and reopening it did not clear the problem. I have used this service in the past with mobile phones and usually been a quick sale but this time I sent in water damaged iPads and experienced delays, I posted items on the 20th April and they received on 24th and it has taken up to the 5th may to have an email saying payment payed, I also rang a few times to see what was happening and all they could say is they are processing your items… Read Full Review

I used these as I had heard good things but after they found "screen burn", which i have never seen on my phone which i used regularly they reduced the amount paid by nearly two thirds. Take what Mazuma say with a pinch of salt. That being said the package they send out for you to send the phone to them was very quick to arrive, they checked the phone quickly and they paid out quickly. A fantastically prompt service which can't be faulted. It may be my fault...(not sure though), I was expecting £155 for a fully working iPhone 6 and was under the impression that a small amount of damage was a given. “Use With Caution”

We sent our iPhone 5s into Maxuma having being offered £70 through the online process. The phone was in excellent condition; fulfilled their criteria for a working phone with no screen scratches etc. A couple of days later I received an email saying my phone had a camera fault and was worth £25. If I didn't respond within 7 days, they would keep my phone and only pay me £25. I asked for my phone to be returned immediately. The fault report was "camera doesn't load". We can confirm that your phone was classed as Faulty due to having a faulty camera. The camera would not load.

You informed us that the camera was working when you received the phone back. We requested that you send the phone back to us again.

We can confirm the camera was working when received the second time. Full payment was made.

We can only assume your phone had an intermittent fault.

Hi With regard to my order below, because the value was over £50, I posted my mobile to you using Royal Mail 'special next day delivery' which cost £7.15. Your service is excellent but, the one downside for me and, I suspect, for many other customers, is that Mazuma pay for postage which covers mobiles up to £50 but, most mobiles are worth more than that so, to ensure that the mobiles we send you are fully covered in case of loss, we have to pay an additional £7.15 to send it to Mazuma… Read Full Review

I find the whole process very easy. The postage bag arrives very quickly and instructions are clear. The price offered for the phone is fair. My only gripe with using Mazuma is the posting process. You are given two choices for posting. One is free and the other £7.15. According to Mazuma the free service includes tracking and insurance of £50 if the parcel is lost or damaged. As per our posting instructions, our freepost service (Tracked Returns) includes free postage, free tracking and up to £50 loss and damage cover.

The phone values are ridiculously low but you do get something and it is better environmentally to recycle than just throw away.The time between getting a quote,receiving packaging to return phones and determining the state of the phone takes far to long.Also why are the packaging bags so big for just returning just one phone in it's box.Going for vouchers is a definite mistake for a little extra return.This way adds far more extra time to obtaining the price of the phone.However the online… Read Full Review
